You need to charge the printer head for the ink to flow. Check your printer for head cleaning option. This should fix it.

Unplug the printer fro 5 min's and see if it clears.

What application are you using to print text? Word? Try a simple application, like Notepad or Wordpad, to print some simple two-liner text. Does printer print ALL the text on left side or just the half of printable material? Even if you are indicating that page size is correct, looks to me some problem with the selection of print area.

1. Turn Off Your Printer - Use the power button to turn off your printer. After it has successfully powered off, unplug it. You don't want any power coming into the machine while you are cleaning it.
2. Let it Cool Down - Even if you haven't printed anything recently, you should still let your printer cool down for a few minutes. While it's on standby, it can build up a decent amount of heat. The last thing you need is to burn yourself while trying to clean its rollers.
3. Remove the Paper Tray - In most cases, you will need to remove the paper tray in order to gain access to the printer rollers. This is usually as simple as pulling it right out. You will have to remove any paper that is in it first. If you're unsure about how to remove the tray, refer to your owner's manual. Don't force the tray out of your machine. You could inadvertently damage it by doing so.
4. Remove the Ink Cartridges - This step isn't always necessary. If the ink cartridges stand between you and the rollers though, you will have to remove them. Simply remove them as if you are going to exchange them for new ones.
5. Have Your Supplies Ready - You probably already have what you need to clean the printer rollers. A lint-free cloth is a must, and water will generally suffice. If you'd prefer, you may also use isopropyl alcohol. However, you should wipe the components down with water after cleaning them with the alcohol. If you don't, an oily reside could be left behind, and it could have a very negative impact on print quality.
6. Clean the Rollers - Now it's time to get down to business. Lightly dampen your lint-free cloth with water or alcohol. Squeeze it out to ensure that it's not too wet. Hold the cloth in one hand and press it lightly against the first roller. With your other hand, gently rotate the roller until you have cleaned it all the way around. Be extremely careful. Do not use too much pressure. You might have to run it through a few times to remove all of the residue.
7. Repeat for Each Roller - Simply repeat the same process for each printer roller.
8. Get Ready to Print - Once you're satisfied that the rollers are clean and dry, replace the ink cartridges. Replace the paper tray and load it with paper. Plug the machine back in and power it up again.

Inside printer when open righthand side You'll see a pad and set of brushes clean with clean rag, and run clean in printer options. Then run align cartridges. should solve problem. make sure when putting in ink you just snap in and not mess with after that.

For printing from the computer, I beleive it is 'copy' mode.

Let me try again: You may already have the answer, but just in case: I'm guessing it's new printer to you and that you've never had a double-sided printer. If that's the case, I can't speak to your particular printer, but it should be in basically the same area.

• Select the printer. Somewhere -- probably to the right, you should see a "Properties" button.
• Click on the Properties button. Under one of the tabs you should see an option for "duplex" or, perhaps, "2-sided" printing. My printers have "two sided" but our networked copier at work has "duplex".
• Simply select that option. ALSO, it will ask you along which edge you want to flip. It's simple with my Brother (home) and HP (work), but the flip-along-x-edge is unclear on the network copier/printer I have to use... so you might have to try it to see which one is the one you want. (for my personal printers, it's "flip along long edge" or "flip on short edge"... can't remember what it is with the network.

Place the paper onto the "In" tray of the printer and push the printer guides against the paper to secure the paper in place. Fold the "Out" tray down.

Turn on your printer.2.Lift the printer unit, and then position the scanner support between the tabs to hold it open.3.The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.4.Press down on the ink cartridge lever to raise each ink cartridge lid.5.Remove the old ink cartridges.6.Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them properly.7. If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.8. Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure in the right ink cartridge carrier.9. Snap each lid closed.10. Hold the printer unit up, push the scanner support back to unlock it, and then lower the printer unit until it is completely closed.Manual can be downloaded here.

It means your cartridges overflow even from brand new cartridges after a several prints or right after you refilled the cartridges. Check to see if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel with the cartridge.Solution: use the lint free cloth(coffee filter work great) with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off contact on the holder and i think printer will work again. Then before you print anything, you should run aligned the catridges a couple times then run clean catridges a couple times. Print the test page to see how it's look ... A friend of mine had a similar problem. Connected with cable but printer was set to WiFi. Said out of ink. Disconnected WiFi in options. Problem solved.
