PRINTER ERROR COMES UP - SAYS SEE DOCUMENTATION & CALL SERVICE IF
This is a "General Error" issue, not a service required one.
It's likely that either a sensor in the printer is damaged (possibly a ribbon cable has come detached)... or more likely there is some foreign body or printer part that's come loose and is blocking the printhead carriage path.
A common one I've seen with the C86 and similar is for the head cleaning part become detached from the parking pad (all based far right)... When it does this it springs up into the printheads path and stops it from reaching the parking position.
It requires patience to fix (and some rubber gloves to avoid ink mess) but if notice a part doing an impression of a jack in the box then you can usually gently push the part down and then careful maneuver it over to the right into a connection with the parking pad part.
It's hard to describe without pictures but it gives you an idea of what to look for.

How do I change the
It is very easy to change ink in your Epson printers. First remove the
old cartridges from your printer by following the instructions in your
printer user manual. After that, clean the printer with cleaning
cartridges. Then do a Nozzle Check and run another cleaning cycle.
Repeat the last two steps for several times until only clear fluids get
released. Now install the new ink cartridges into the printer and turn
it on and start the prime cycle.
After the completion of the prime cycle do a test print. If
everything is okay then you know that the printer is again ready for
use. It is a very simple procedure but needs concentration and proper
care. If you want a more detailed procedure then check it out at
www.inkjetart.com. This site has detailed instructions on various Epson printers and matters related to it.
When the red light on
yes, try to print a page and you should get a text box appear at the bottom of your screen telling you your ink is low, click on this box and it will tell you which ink has or is running out

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts.

Hi!
Run a Head Cleaning Cycle. If that won't help. chances are the tubes are already blocked with the ink from previous cartridge. You can bring it to a Certified service center but its better getting a new one.
Hope this helps.

The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.
I put in a new ink cartridge, and now the error
Hi,
Take the cart out and put it back in there might be some loose connection.
The error light flashing is caused by that bad or damaged cartridge. You can always try cleaning the electrical contacts on the cartridge and inside the ink
cartridge holder assembly, with a damp Q-Tip. Then dry the contacts with a new dry Q-Tip and retry the cartridge. If that does not help, and you still have
your old cartridge, try reinstalling it, even if its empty and see if that printer time out problem goes away.If it goes away replace the cartridge.
Hope this helps.
