Yes, try to print a page and you should get a text box appear at the bottom of your screen telling you your ink is low, click on this box and it will tell you which ink has or is running out

Testimonial: "I do not see a text box at the bottom of my screen "

Hi click on windows start button (bottom left corner of screen) then click on Devices and Printers tab, this should bring up a screen where you will see an icon for your Epson Stylus CX3200 printer, double click this then on the screen that comes up double click the adjust print options tab and a box should pop up and tell you how much ink is in each cartridge, you may have to click the Get ink levels button for it to update.
    Hope that helps you

I have a red tear drop light on my epsom dx7400 printer and it wont print...any help please?

This light is an indication that one or more of your ink cartridges is out of ink. You need to replce them before the machine will print.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

My Kodak printer ESP3 is not printing. It keeps flashing over the 3 color tear drops (red, green, purple). Ive powered it on and off several of times as well as checking the cords.

This 3 color drop flashed when the color ink cartridge needs to be replaced.

Try to use a new color ink cartridge > If no go, call Kodak they will replace the color ink > If no go > Call Kodak and this time they will replace the printer

Cannot tell which inkjet color cartridge needs changing

Disregard the monitor information and rely on the printer.

On the left panel of the printer are your indicator lights and buttons. Push the button immediately to the left of the 'ink drop' light [looks like a little tear drop]. Open the cover and the printhead assembly will move to the left and stop. Look very closely and find that little 'ink drop' imprinted into the plastic in the very middle of the printer where the printhead assembly stopped. That 'ink drop' will line up wih the ink cartridge that needs replacing. Push that button on the left again and the printhead assembly will either return to the 'replace' position, or move to the next ink cartridge that needs replacing. Keep pushing that button just once at a time until the printhead assembly identifies all cartridges that need replacing and moves into the 'replace' position. This 'replace' position will be on the right side of the printer where the opening occurs that allows the top cover of the printhead assembly to open.

Change the appropriate cartridges and you should be good to go.

Blinking Red Lights

You need to reset the ink head shot counters and protection counter. Basically the printer has worked out that the waste ink pad is full. It often isn't. Google SSC Service Utility, install it, and select your printer and model in the lists on the tabs at the top. When it's running, turn the printer on, and right slick on the SSC Icon in your System Tray (near the clock). Reset the protection counter, and head shots counter. Perform a reset of the printer, and you should find that the problem has gone away.

I am trying to refill my ink cartridge and i dont know how. HELP!!!

When your ink starts getting low, you will see a red light flashing on the printer. There is a tear drop shape next to the indicator light on the top of the printer. You can keep printing until the light stays red. Once the light stays red, they will need to be changed. When you need more ink, Epson will have a window pop up on your computer wanting you to purchase ink from them. You do not need to do this. We bought our ink cartridges at Best Buy. This printer uses DuraBrite Ultra Ink. There are 2 types; 69 or 88. They recommend 69 for heavy use and 88 for moderate use. The 88 has about half the ink the 69 does. We buy the 69 because it lasts much longer. We use this printer about 3 times a week on average and we haven’t had to change the ink for about 6 months. The 69 black ink at Best Buy is less than $20.00 and the color ink is about $14 for each of the 3 colors. The color 88 comes with all 3 in a pack and it’s about $30.00.

You should not remove any old cartridges until you are ready to replace them because if there isn’t any in there it can dry out the nozzles. You open the scanner and press the stop button and the printer head moves to the correct position. Open the cover and squeeze the tabs that are there and remove the old ones. Then as mentioned in the set up, insert each one in the correct color and press until they click. This printer was actually the easiest that I have ever had when it came to changing the ink. Another thing that you should know is that you cannot refill the cartridges. They have to be new.

Epson C66 red light stays on for ink

The first time you install ink cartridges, the printer must charge its print head for about 90 seconds. Wait until charging finishes (the green power.jpg power light stops flashing) before you turn off the printer, or

it may charge improperly and use excess ink the next time you turn it on. If the printer stops moving or making noise, but the green power.jpg power light is still flashing after 5 minutes, turn off the printer. If the light is still flashing when you turn it back on, contact Epson.
Turn off the printer, then make sure the ink cartridges are inserted completely and the ink cartridge cover is closed completely. Also make sure no packing material remains in the printer. Wait a moment, then turn the printer back on to clear the error.

Printer not printing

I hate Epson. Had problems with Stylus C82 and now my replacement Stylus C86 has given me nothing but trouble.
I've just replaced all four ink cartridges and now when I print I'm only getting blank pages. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and nothing is working. I even called Epson, twice, only to be routed to the Phillipines where neither person was very helpful, in fact, had a hard time understanding their English. So this is what I;m going to do. I'm taking this bloody Stylus C86 outside and smash it with a hammer..then I'm going to buy a HR Printer...and if anybody from Epson reads this...good luck...your products SUCK!!
