My tungsten E won't turn on. If I do a soft reset
After back up your date you may perform hard reset, if issue still persists you can be sure that battery is no longer giving good performance. So you may consider replacing the battery.
If you need further assistance please post.

After changing the Sync procedure to BT due to
Not resolved yet. I have my files archived and have downloaded and installed the 64-bit desktop and synch manager. I set up the BT synch and ran it. I'm still working through the apps that may have triggered the infinite reset loop. I hope it's not the age of the E2 and compatibility with later software. Thoughts?
Speaker problem
you wont, it will sense off of the jack as to which output method to use. If the jack is bad and the device cannot communicate with it, it will remain in its current state.
Palmone handheld
As far as I know there is no quick and easy way to delete all of your contacts on your palm, you will have to delete them one by one if you want to do it on your palm, alteratively you could use the palm desktop to delete all of them and then do a custom hotsync and have the computers contacts override the palm.
Tungsten E2 Keyboard Doesn't Work
One way around this problem is to touch the "DataVis Sheet To Go" (top left corner in black) icon and from there go to "Edit" and then "Keyboard".
Will not turn on
It's possible that the battery can no longer hold a charge anymore.
Check with Palm to see if there is a replacement available.
It should work if you have a car charger on it while using it.
My Palm tungsten E2 hand held PDA is totally frozen and locked up
Best thing to do here is to remove any memory cards etc.. and do a hard reset - seems like soft reset will or has not worked...
Press and hold the power button - keep it pressed and gently press the reset button on the back of the handheld.
Wait for the Palm Powered logo to appear and release the power button.
You should get a message warning about erasing all data. Press up on your 5-way navigator to reset.
This will erase all data inlcuding user information from the device, but synchronizing should get it all back - but you will loose anything that was not recently sync'd
good luck
How to move data from Thngsten E2 to new computer?
if you use the latest Hotsync Manager - version 7.0.2, you should click Setting, then Applications.
You will get a list of applications that you can synchronise with your PC. Place a check mark beside those you want/need. Make sure to click the Configure button ( bottom right hand side) and select the Handheld overwrites Desktop for each application. Click on the Set as default...
This should ensure that the data is copied from the handhelp to the PC, and nothing gets overwritten on the handheld.
Palmone powers up but will not respond to keys,
I'm not sure I can solve this, but from a prior problem /solution, I read that removing the back and reinserting the battery might be helpful, sort of like pulling the plug on your computer for 60 seconds. With little to loose, I tried to remove the back, no small trick since the cover screws are atypical; as I started to unscrew one, I heard a beep and the unit is now back working properly. Perhaps I somehow altered the battery contact. I've heard this type of solution referred to as PFM (Pure F...king Magic). In any event, it's worth a try. Good luck.

Dropped Palm now only displays blank white screen
You can try a hard reset, but you will have to sync before and after as it will go to factory starting point.
Push the reset and power button at the same time, it should ask "are you sure", when it restarts you will have to go through the set up as if it was new.
Hope this helps.

Tungsten e2 won't power up
Please follow the steps to isolate the problem:
1. Make sure that the charger is working.
2. Try using different charger just to make sure.
3. Try using different battery.
If the phone works using different battery, you need to replace your old battery, but if not, this phone needs repair.
My e2 frozen on the palm powered logo
Okay here it goes, your going to want to leave it on for however many hours it takes to completely drain the battery then you're going to want to recharge it back to normal charge, and try restarting it again. This will delete completely anything that is keeping it from restarting properly. If you did open up the machine without following "antistatic procedure" you may have fried a component on the board and then your in trouble
you'll need to salvage a board from another tungsten and put it back in your PDA and hope you put it back together right
