I bought a new screen

Hello.

Since you installed the old and the new one exactly the same way, with different results, it's clear that the new screen is faulty. Return it to the supplier for a replacement.

Hope this helps.

I have a palm tungsten E2 and the battery life

Hello and Welcome to FixYa Sir,
If you do need a replacement, your options are to return it to Palm where they will charge you a significant amount (like $130) or buy a battery and try to replace it yourself. Since it's not intended as a user-replaceable part, I don't think you can buy one from Palm. You can get one from any of there, they are reliable suppliers.
If you have any Confusion, questions or issues regarding your problem do tell me.
Thank you for using FixYa!, Keep visiting..

Need to download e2 instructions.

Here it is, open this LINK, the Tungsten E2 user guide in pdf format will open up in your browser, or else you'll be asked to "save/open" if it asks you to save/open, click "save" but if it's opened up in the browser, wait until it's loaded, locate a floppy disk link icon (button) on the top left hand side of the page, click it to "save" it. Here's a screenshot for your reference.

My Palm Desktop by Access Applicatin has stopped

Hi

Clean your regedit and see how that works. Also you need version Palm desktop v6.2 (not v4) to run under Vista. If you have the 64 bit version of Vista you will have to use Bluetooth to transfer data, not USB.

Please check the bellow link hope its helpful:-

When my PC locked up

maybe a factory reset may help, please first read these posts below, first, then make a decision as to what to do.

In order to hard, factory, reset your palm, you must press the reset button on the back (with the top of the stylus, or an opened paper clip) while holding down the power button.

You then let go of the reset, while still holding the power button. When you let go of the power button, you will see the Palm splash screen.

Once you see that screen, let go of the power button. You will be prompted to press "up" on the D-navigation button to delete all data. Do so, and your Palm will be totally reset. Now it should be as from the factory... However ALL ANY personal data may be deleted, so it is advisable to have a backup before one does this. This will/should however restore everything, then hopefully you can then put back the calender files data.

Also you may also be able to mount the unit under windows, and go to where you changed those files and change them back to what they should be, this too may help. There is software on the 'net, that can assist with the mounting of these devices, to do this.

See this post below...

Hi,

This is a common problem on these sets. Have you tried a hard reset?

It would wipe out all the details, however this is the last resort for a customer. You could also try to soft reset the device by pulling the battery.

If the problem persists ( this problem was there when customer update the software ), you need to send the unit for repair.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
