Toshiba PDR-3340 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Card Error
If you should see the warning message "CARD ERROR" in the LCD Display, please check the following:
Always choose reliable quality SD Cards. Toshiba Digital Cameras are tested for maximum performance with Toshiba SD Cards, Delkin SD Cards and Panasonic SD Cards. These are leading brands in the development of standard SD technology. Performance by other brands of SD cards may vary.
Check the LOCK switch on the SD Card. The camera can not save images to an SD Card when it is in the lock protected position.
If the SD Card is NEW, it may be necessary to FORMAT the card. This only applies to NEW SD Cards. If you format a card with images, all images will be erased. You can FORMAT your card periodically to maximize capacity and erase 'unseen' files, please be sure to download all images before choosing FORMAT as all images will be erased.
Your Toshiba Digital Camera is designed for use with SD Cards. MultiMedia Cards are similar in size and shape to SD Cards, although with close inspection you will find that SD Cards have a different 'PIN" connection configuration, are slightly thicker in size, and have a manual slide LOCK switch on the side. Toshiba Digital Cameras are not designed or guaranteed to accept MultiMedia Cards. Please be sure to look for SD Cards from Toshiba, Panasonic and Delkin, the leaders in SD Card Technology.
My Toshiba Camileo HD-DV Camcorder won't focus
If your Toshiba Camileo HD-DV camcorder is not focusing properly, there are a few potential causes and solutions to try:
- Check that the lens is clean and free from any smudges or fingerprints. Even a small amount of dirt or debris on the lens can affect the focus. If the lens is dirty, try cleaning it with a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.
- Make sure the lens is not blocked by any foreign objects, such as the hood of a camera bag or the edge of a cap.
- Try adjusting the focus manually using the focus ring on the lens. If the focus ring is not responding or is difficult to turn, the lens may need to be serviced.
- Make sure your camcorder firmware is up to date. Check Toshiba website to see if there is any update available and instructions on how to update.
- Make sure the camera is not in macro mode. Some cameras have a separate macro mode that enables the camera to focus on objects that are very close. If you are not trying to take close-up shots, you may need to switch out of this mode.
- Make sure the scene is well lit. Low light can make it more difficult for the camera to focus, try adding more light to the scene or use the manual focus.
If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the camera's autofocus system may be malfunctioning and will need to be repaired. It's best to contact Toshiba customer service or a local camera repair shop for a diagnosis and estimate for repair if the issue persists

The easiest alternative method to transfer the pictures onto your computer is to remove the memory card and plug it into a card reader (either built in or a USB card reader if you have one). If not, you can connect your camera to your computer by the USB cable.
Once you plug the camera or the card in, Windows will usually ask you if you want to import the images. You can do that or import them manually by opening up the SD card or camera in my computer and dragging the files to the folder you want to store them in.
Otherwise please post your exact Sony Cybershot model and the version of Windows on your Toshiba and we can try to find you the correct software.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Cannot find a webcam driver or softwear for
Simply go to Toshiba's download website: http://www.csd.toshiba.com
1. Then click on "Download"
2. Select Laptops > Satellite > enter l305d-s5868 in the "Model Finding Filter:"
3. Then use the "Refine Search By" to show "Camara"
You should see the driver after that.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi good day the problem
It does sound like the battery is the problem. You don't say what model your camera is, so I can't find out what kind of battery it has or how it charges.
Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. They are usually rated for several hundred recharge cycles, but often they fail early. Lithium batteries in particular can fail early if they are allowed to become totally discharged.
