Visual scene for unlock the memory card fuji
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
Can not erace pictures
Its possible that you have activated some "secure mode"... it
means the picture is protected so no one can accidently delete
it-someone protected it and you can usuallly go into playback menu and
unlock it.
Also could try format connecting your SD Card at pc as external reader device.
Why there written protected card
Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
How do i remove the protected card from my camera
When this problem occur you need to set the memory card unlock or not
protected.
Remove the memory card from camera and you can see a small button in
the memory card, so you need to slide that to set the memory card unlock
or not
protected.
Protected card
The card has a small swich on the side section which when pushed locks the data from being erased off accidentely.
so move it and the protect will change and allow the card to be written once again.
Whenever I try to take
Possible that the card has the small lever on it pulled down so that it protects from over wrting.
So remove the card and look on the side for aa small switch showing a direction to protect, move it off and it will allow the card to write again.
How to download images
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
Protected Card
Hello
If the card works in another camera or another card doesn't work in your camera , the problem is with your card reader in your camera.
If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:
1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.
Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.
It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.
If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.
Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Ok your computer should have the software needed to view the pictures already installed, so maybe you are having trouble actually getting them out of the camera and into the computer?
You may need to download the file for your operating system from here.
http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/download/01/index.html#windows
After installing that you should just be able to plug the camera into the computer and let it copy the photos for you. On the PC the software is called "Scanner and Camera Wizard" (on windows XP) which can be found under All Programs, then Accessories, and on Mac I photo will do tthis for you.
Good luck

Card error
Generally, the best thing to do is to remove the battery for a few minutes and reinstall it. This will kill any of the settings you've made. Reprogram. If that doesn't work, replace the battery or recharge it. Also clean the contacts on it. If this fails, I suggest you weigh the cost of service versusu a new camera.
I have a FinePix S1 and the display screen is not working. All other modes are working but no display
Many occasions LCD on camera display never fails but back light fails unless physical damage to LCD screen. Hold a torch to display when camera is on you will see faint(black and white) image means LCD is ok but back light is failed, it's replaceable but needs little skill to replace. Or replace full Screen with backlight. This is easy. Just remove back cover, remove display by loosening flex lock, put back new display carefully lock it holding flex with one finger. Please do not touch display flex contacts.
