Jamming is surely not related to ink replacement, however the blank page may indicate there is dried ink blocking the stream of the new one since you are probably not able to clean the path of the ink i highly reccomend to call the local service technician or replace the related parts on your if you have possibility to do so.

I am afraid you will have to provide more information to get your problem fixed, was it printing when the error occured, or did it happened after you turned it on? Did some error message came out on screen?

Hello, from my experience canons have very often problems with "cover" sensors, actualy even as I write this I have scissors put into one on our imagepress6010. Just try to hit the sensor with something long and hard enough and hope for the best. Or find spare scissors and do it as I did and leave the cover open ;)
