if the cartridge is almost empty, then the toner start to become weaker so the toner is attracted on the surface of the drum. check the counter if it is time to replace the cartridge

Please check paper sensor may e damage, need to relpace it on prior basis

sounds like the printer power supply is bad

in your paper feed tray there is a paper separation pad which is setup on a spring.just scratch it with some fine sand paper and clean with IP solution.

You may be able to get ahold of them off ebay, brother will not sell you one because the machine will be out of warranty. Normally these need an engineer to replace it which would cost considerabley more then a new HL2130 machine. The printer up from yours.

He has the answer to your problem and pictures of where the problem exists.http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/62484#31Here is his first answer:when you're facing the front of the machine, it's the left cover that you need to remove to see the solenoid. there's 2 screws holding the cover, one at the front behind the front door and one at the back behind the rear door. then remove the paper cassette and ply the cover off both at the front and rear, downward to remove.once the cover is off, look at the front end and you should see a larger black gear with a spring attached to it at a 45 deg angle. right behind the spring is the solenoid of interest. if you do a print, the solenoid should be triggered once and the black gear should only rotate once. if it rotate more than once, the solenoid arm is sticking to the sponge pad. use a small blade or flat head screwdriver to remove the pad from the solenoid and hopefully your problem should be solve.

Yep this will always happen if your just using a replacement toner. They will be depleted faster compared to the original Brother toner.Make sure you replace your toner with the original Brother toner.

If u have the CD of tht printer , u just delet tht printer from the Devices and printers settings. And re installed it

Use the plastic strap that comes on the outside of packing boves. Cut a nick in the side of the strap and use as a hook

• You may clear the problem by cleaning the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the blue tab.Make sure you return the blue tab to the Home position. To see how to clean the corona wire of the drum unit, click here.

Hi Ron, I dont think you have a printer problem, i think you have a print driver/computer problem.To find out unplug it (the usb) from you computer, turn it off so no data remains from previous print commands sent from your pc and run a self test by holding your green go button when you turn it on, keep it held untill toner, drum and paper lights light up, then let it go, then press the go button and the printer will print a self test....If this works ok then we know your printer is ok. and your issue is as i suspect it is, with your print driver, paper size or tray select settings in Driver or in Word or in Excel or your document.You can isolate if document problem by doing self test in print driver in control panel..If self test on printer unpluged works and we have no error lights and are seeing the test ok and no flashing lights then you may want to ensure driver is good by completly unistaling the driver on your pc, do this by unistalling all brother stuff from control panel/programs and features (depends on operation system you are using).Then with it still not connected, go to brothers web and download the full software and drivers package to suit your operating system, run it and only plug in the usb when instructed.Let me know if your printer shows an error when not connected or if self test fails and Ill go down that road with you... if paper light on it when not connected, it tells us we have a jam, make sure you check back door and under toner drum and paper is sitting neat in tray But when you tell me excel works and word doesnt, i dont think printer, it is software.Check your page size settings in word and excel and of your documents as the flashing paper light may be the printer trying to tell you the data sent to it from word is a paper size mis match to what the printer has in its tray and it wants you to feed the correct size paper in the manual feed/bypass slot. You should also check paper size and tray selection in your print driver in printers and faxs under control panel is the same as your document. What you should do is look at the short sides of the toner. You will notice a clear round piece with tabs sticking up. What you need to do is color the inner part of the circle with a sharpie. This should give you another 100 prints or so. After you've exhausted that option, cover the spot a few times with electrical tape. What this is doing is block the "low toner" laser from shooting through these open spaces, tricking it into thinking it is full. Be sure to be observant; when the paper begins to look 'dirty' it is REALLY time to replace the cartridge. I've gotten up to 2,000 prints extra by doing this!! Good luck!

• Remove the paper tray completely by pulling it out towards you.
• Now pull the jammed/stuck paper out gently.
• If you cannot remove the paper by the above procedures,open the printers front cover to access the cartridges assembly.
• Pull the cartridges assembly gently and slowly.This will come out together with the jammed paper.
• If jam not cleared,open the back cover and pull the tab outwards to access the fuser unit.Remove the stuck papers here.
