but for as far i know xerox han no vista 64 bit driver for this scanner

2400u scanner driver I have installed in Windows xp 64 but digitizing programs do not recognize do not "see." How do I make it load programs? Thanks

if you go to this page http://www.bioticaindia.com/primascan-colorado-2400u.html, they have a driver for the scanner and it seems it works for some people. Ultimately you'll have to badger Visioneer to work on one but as they say it's an end of life product I don't see that happening. The only other option is to buy a newer scanner or a printer scanner that does have win7 drivers.

In my experience, when the lamp goes out, it's time for a new scanner. if you are willing to try and fix it though, maybe try Ebay or the manufacturer's website. You'll likely spend less time just replacing it though.

Have you upgraded to newer version of windows? Have you tried reinstalling Paperport? (back up max files 1st) I have had a visioneer and still use Paperport 8. Often I have problems with Windows 8 and reinstall paperport now and then.

Uninstall the drivers which are already in your computer and install a fresh version of it. Try going to the website of the manufacturer to find the driver and install it in your computer.After doing that, update the drivers in your computer so that you can make sure that they'll work great. assuming your are under Windows 7 :
go to " Start /Devices and Printers " . Right click on the printer icon , select " see what's printing " click on " documents / cancel .

Have a look on Visioneer's website, there is probably a viewer application available from them.

No you dont.

However when you scan you would have to select the source as being either your AIO or the Roadwarrior. Not a big problem.

Some apps let you define the default in an individual type of way. so lets say you wanted to use the roadwarrior just for reciepts to OCR them into some planner or accounts package and use your AIO just for letters and larger forms then some apps will allow you to do that.
