A red line appeared vertically, is this a hardware problem?
I would go back where it was purchased and press the issue, since it is so close to the warranty time they may make exception, because the alternative is replacing your monitor. There is a large printed circuit board on the back of the LCD that processes the video and colour images that has become defective and is part of the LCD display.

MONITOR POWER INDICATOR BLINKING
Signal out of range, the display can't manage the resolution setting being sent to it by the video card.
- - - - - - > The following applies to Microsoft XP and newer OS a) Try booting into your OS in safe mode. Repeatedly press f8 key as computer starts to power up.
b) Right click on empty area on the desktop and select properties or personalize.
b) Select display settings.
c) Select the lowest resolution and color bit depth available (usually 16 bit).
d) Apply or click OK.
e) Restart CPU.
It should be working now, but mega big & ugly.
Set your monitor resolution to next higher setting. If that works, keep futzing with it till it's to your liking.

I have a samsung monitor
Hi there.
Normally this message appears when you are using a resolution that the monitor cant handle. But first of all, I would like you to do is completely remove the power plug and the cable from the monitor. Let it sit for about 5-10 mins and then replug it.
Let me know what happens.
Thank you!
