Code p0607 refers to control module==fix is to replace the control module. No reference to what control module but codes around it all relate to the ECM.I would get another ECM that I know was working and replace it

My Pontiac vibe 2006 is showing PO6006, PO6007 code does anyone ha be any idea what it means

P0606 , P0607 ! no such codes P06006 or P06007
DTC P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0607, P1600, P1621, P1627, P1680, P1681, P1683, or P2610
DTC P0606 Control Module Internal Performance
The DTC P0606 and P2610 set when the powertrain control module (PCM) has determined that the control module has an internal fault. The PCM performs continuous self checks of all internal circuits. There are 2 central processing units (CPU) within the control module. If the outputs from the two CPUs deviates from the standard level, a DTC P0606 sets. The control module has several internal clock or timer circuits. The DTC P2610 diagnostic monitors the internal timer circuit responsible for the ignition OFF operation of the evaporative emission (EVAP) system vacuum leak pump. If the there is an error in the control module timer, a DTC P2610 sets.

How do i fix codes p0607 p0301

You really need to have this checked out. A scanner and a lot of electrical knowledge is need to fix this. You could spend hundreds, only to find out it was a bad wire. P0607 is a PCM problem. P0301 could be caused by this or could be a bad plug, wire, or coil.

Error code P0607

A P0607 could be caused by one or more of the following: Loose ground terminal on PCM/ECM Dead or defective (12V main) battery An open or short in the power or ground circuit Loose or corroded battery terminals Failed PCM/ECM Possible Solutions As a vehicle owner there isn't a whole lot you can do yourself to diagnose this DTC. The first thing to check is the battery, check the voltage, inspect for loose/corroded terminals, etc., do a load test on it too. Also inspect the grounds/wiring at the PCM. If that's good the other common fixes for a P0607 Control Module Performance DTC seem to be either replace the PCM or update (re-flash) the PCM with updated software. Be sure to check for TSB's on your vehicle (Technical Service Bulletins) as there are known TSB's for this P0607 code for some Toyota and Ford vehicles. If the PCM needs replacement, we strongly recommend you have a qualified repair shop / technician do the work, one that has the capability to reprogram the new PCM. Installing the new PCM may involve using special tools to program the vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or anti-theft information (PATS, etc.). NOTE: This repair may be covered under the emissions warranty so be sure to check with your dealer as this may be covered beyond the bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty period.

Recently my check engine light came on and I did a diagnostic to find a P0607 error to appear. The code had read something about a power train control module. I will probably end up taking my car into the...

P0601 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error
P0602 Control Module Programming Error
P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error
P0604 Internal Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM) Error
P0605 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error
P0606 ECM/PCM Processor
P0607 Control Module Performance
P0608 Control Module VSS Output "A"
P0609 Control Module VSS Output "B"
P0610 Control Module Vehicle Options Error
The p0607 error says Control Module Performance. It has something to do with the Control Module for the powertrain as you indicated. But, you may be able to take your car to a transmission shop to alleviate the problem using a transmission expert.

I don't think that it doesn't have anything to do with the engine, itself, even though it's listed under a driveability related code.

Good luck on this repair.

2010 georgetown rv made it150miles no power can`t get over 35 mph when it down shifts like dies has triton v10

You should be under warranty for free repairs. If you are too far from a Dealer you can get a free scan at Oreillys or Autozone.

It sounds like you are in "Limp home" mode. All the sensors for the engine and trans have to agree on where they are at. Look for loose wires or hoses under the hood. Check your owners manual for "Limp Home" mode. Good Luck to you.

1992 accord hard starts, engine light, steam off hood in rain

The check engine light comes ON when the cars computer(the ECU) notices any kind of electrical problem in car.In some cases the check engine light comes on then turns off.In that case the exact error is not getting confirmed so this happens. But once the problem gets confirmed the engine light will remain permanently ON till the problem gets solved. In this case i suggest you to get your car scanned at autozone service center. Its absolutely free.In case in the car scanning,if any error code is retrieved then you can check which part is faulty as per the error code.In case if no error code is retrieved then you can continue driving, till you get any confirmed indication. ---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

P0607

Have the dealer perform TSB EG042-07. It is for codes P0601, P0606, and/or P0607. It calls for replacing the ECM (computer) and is under warranty for 96 months or 80,000 miles. VERY COMMON!
