There are a number of things that could be wrong.
The basic first thing to try is to replace the cable(s) that feeds your TV signal; sometimes the connection with the connectors on the end goes bad.
HDMI or what ever feeds your signal. You can make your own RCA or traditional F type coax connector with the connectors
from this site or you can buy what you need for composite or RCA at your local store. This could be the problem if the signal has just stopped coming over. hopefully that is the problem.
Next is the bulb in the bulb should be checked. In an LCD it can just happen. the light dies. if you are getting no sound and no image the bulb is likely not the problem.
You may have a short or bad resistor or transistor. the board that controls your TV might not be getting proper power, be it too much or too little. If you suspect this is the case leave the TV off, that pop could be a power surge flowing over the components of the TV. and could do further damage.
Depending on the value of the TV you should consider recycling. Replacing a TV under 300 or 250 is worth it. a warranty is included. an involved repair could run 300-400 dollars or more, but on a big screen TV that costs over 2,000 a repair is a good value.
