It is either a timer issue or a motor issue. I know, that you knew. But if you have a motor with like circuitry and size, you can try that or to put it into the spin cycle and see if it is a mechanical obstruction or with a voltmeter see if the timer is working.

there is a coupling between the motor and transmission that has cracked. with the crack in the coupling the transmission cant spin as fast as the motor causeing the loud noise. replace coupling to solve problem

hey there i had a search F then 1 flashes there is a primary control failure. Replace the machine control assembly my best bet would be to call a service center or repair guy to advise you further what to do or even fix it as this will be a ongoing stuff around for you and you dont need that

If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.

If the machine is not 'new' it could be that the motor is misbehaving- worn brushes. How 'used' is it, please?
