To disable the Demo mode, perform the following:

  1. Turn on the TV.
  2. Simultaneously hold down the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the front of the TV. Do not use the remote control.
  3. Hold for about 6 seconds
  4. Certain model TVs may turn off, others will not. But in either case, the Demo mode should be disabled.

Greetings,

Check first the auto-sleep timer (just in case).

If the TV turns itself off - like the power had cut-off, better check the power source if it's ok, else it would be the power supply section of the TV. If you have the tools check the output section with a meter.

Keep us posted and thank you for using our service.

It is most likely a protection mechanism which turns the tv of incase there is a electrical problem inside. I would really suggest that you contact a local repair man and have the set checked.

I have 20MC4306. Recently when you turn it off it turns itself back on. Also when you turn it on shuts off after 2 seconds. Tried putting in a video vhs then press play and wait few seconds and hit...

Sometimes when the TV recives a brodcast signal for a new update to the mainframes firmware, it will have to turn itself on to install/recive the update and aslong as it is connected to a power source it can do this. hope this helped answer your question. Have a good day :)

Black box showing up while viewing DVDs

This sound like a problem with the Closed Caption, on many sets if the C.C. is set to text a black box apears, and since it only happens on DVD you might look at the DVD menu and see if it has this Text featcher in the Closed Caption menu and turn it off

TV turns on, but it turns right back off

Your lamp has went bad and you need to replace it. If you look on the left side of your tv there is a sticker that has a lamp part number on it. You can order that from part store.com and you will be back up and running.

Aquos Turns off by itself

How many times per second does the POWER led blink? (dont worry about the OPC).

1x per second (constant, steady blink) = bad inverter/lamps
2x per second = bad power supply
3x per second = bad main board

There isnt really anything you can do to fix it yourself, you can order the part over EBay, not hard to install just unscrew/unplug --- plug/screw..

Black box showing up while viewing DVDs

Go to your TV remote, in the menu find the closed caption or sometimes it is on the remote itself. Turn off the closed caption. this should solve your problem. Good Luck
