Hello Uda,
This error code means that cooling fan for the fixing assembly is not turning,or at least the copier cant tell its turning. Most likely the fan is bad.It is located directly behind the fixing assembly. The fixing assembly is the "HOT" area with the 2 orange rollers that you will see when you pull out the main transport unit when clearing a paper jam, located to the left.It would not be unreasonable to think that a customer could replace this fan.Not EASY for the average person but it can be done.If powering off the machine and turning it back on(which I am sure you have done) does not reset the code then you will need to replace the fan. Have a good day.
wow, I was reviewing the other "helpful hints" you recieved.I appoligze for feeling as though you did not get a great deal of help. from the rest of the"helpers". I stand by what I said, which is more than they gave .I also Will stand beside you as a member of FIXYA in any way I am allowed. Use your best judgement and we appreciate you as a customer.

There are 5 cooling fans in your copier. This code means that 1 or more of them is not rotating or spinning as it should. This code can also be caused by the DC Controller board failing. If you want to try and repair this problem yourself about the only thing I can recommend is to start by trying to check on the fans to see if they are spinning. You can at least look on the outside of the machine and locate the small vent areas on the outside panels and if needed, remove the panels. Locate as many fans as you can and then turn the machine off for a few seconds, then back on and watch the fans for rotation. If you find 2 or more that are not rotating then I would more suspect the DC controller board since that would tend to affect them all. If you find one then you could try ordering just that fan and replacing it. Also if you find one that does not rotate you can try resetting the code and then try "helping" the fan start to spin by flipping the blades a bit to get it going.
The other recommendation would be to call your local service shop and have them come out and give you an estimate as many shops will do this for free.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
Hi.
E805 is Fan Rotation Error. It means that one of the internal fans have failed. Problem is repaired accessing service mode. Identifying the defective fan through the sub-code. Reading DC voltage to fan. Replacing fan or troubleshooting supply problem.
The repair is suitable for a technician or for an expert DIYer.
Try powering down the unit (disconnect power cord), and see if this can clear the error code.
Call Canon number listed on the user manual to contact support.

E805 (The fan rotation is faulty.)
If no detail code is indicated,
suspect the feeder fan (FM1) or the
reversing guide cooling fan (FM9).
Is the connection of these fans
normal? Is the drive signal of the fan
identified in the previous step about
22 VDC while the fan is rotating orabout 12 VDC otherwise?
That is one side with the fans,
Secondly, if the fans are found right, then for sure you need to change the DC Controller.
Regards!
