Xbox 360 wont turn on, power brick light is a constant orange. I used my voltmeter and all components are receiving 60volts but nothing turns on.

This is usually caused by the power brick over-heating. Try cleaning out the vents on the power brick. There are little holes on the ends and overtime they become clogged with dust and lint. If that doesn't work then you'll have to replace the power brick.

We STRONGLY recommend you not to use heat gun as it can heat other components, when your system have 3 red light and no fan are spinning it means that one of your fuses has gotten damaged and no power can go through your GPU chip.

the 360 has a power fault usually it is drwaing toomuch power for the relay in the brick to switch over, try removing the hdd and any wired controllers you may have in it and see if it will turn on

I know its a little annoying but its useful trust me. The orange light usually means a problem with the power supply. This means WORST CARE SCENARIO you have to replace the power brick but you 99% dont have to get a new xbox.

A red light on the xbox 360 power brick usually indicates the Xbox 360 console has a short circuit. Here is how to be sure:

1. Try unplugging the power brick from the wall and from the xbox 360.
2. Wait about 30 seconds and plug the power brick into the wall power outlet.
3. Make sure the indicator light on the power brick is orange. ( If it's not orange then get yourself a new power brick and try again ).
4. Plug the power brick into the Xbox 360 console and try to power it on.
If your power brick turns red or you get an immediate three red ring error than you will need to have the console professionally repaired.

Sounds like a bad power supply, or on two occasions I have found that one of the USB ports had a bent pin which was shorted to the metal housing, which wouldn't let the unit power on. So check all of the USB ports

try using another power brick if it still wont turn on then send it to Microsoft if its still in warranty if not run over your xbox and buy a ps3 and never look back at your xbox

Have you fully unplugged it and as in the mains from the adaptor, adaptor from the 360 etc? then re-plugged it?
