If the freezer is cold and the refrige is warm then you have a defrost problem remove the rear panel of the freezer inside the freezer you will most likely see an ice build up where the condensor is either the fan is not working to blow the cold air into the frige side or the tstat or heater have gone bad. It is very rare in all actuallity for the heater to go bad so it would most likely be your fan which when u take off the panel you can observe if it is working or not any ice build up should be melted witha hair dryer if the fan is running fine then the next step would be to do a continuity check with the fridge unplugged on yr t-stat or thermal relay disc its called both its the small round disc with two wires that is hooked to one of the lines going to the condensor (usually foudn on the left side) check both these and message me back and if you have any further questions message me them back as well and please also remember when this chat is concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation thanks again

Here is what's happening when you have a malfunction in the defrost system.
What can you do about this. Let me explain the defrost system in general so you get an understanding of what is going on. Air cannot circulate from the freezer(where the cold happens basically) to the fresh food section.
Your refrigerator will run constantly to try to cool the fresh food section. This will develop a new set of problems with your refrigerator. More on that later....
Excess frost builds up within the coils inside the freezer. This is what is blocking the air flow to the fresh food section
Usually you will notice the icemaker will stop making ice. Poor air flow and not quite cold enough temperatures in the freezer cause this
Water will not come through the dispenser on the door. Cold air settles, the water resovoir will freeze.
Compressor may overheat and shut off. This is when you hear, click, click, click. Not good
Ice Cream in the Freezer will start to get soft. That's really not that bad. lol

If the freezer its ok ..than check the fan cause this may not work and not blow cold air in the fridge compartment ...Another cause may be it is either frosty ..or the condenser coil need to be cleaned..
here I will link a page that covers about all reasons..that can make this happen ...

Hi there.
I thought the fan may be frozen or temperature regulator frozen because we loaded the fridge to the gills and something was poking at the door and it remained open for a considerable amount of time. I pulled it out from the recess only to find a blank back with nothing to unscrew. Are you familiar with this model westinghouse BJ424S-R6 and where do I open the conduit that pumps air into the fridge to clean it or de-frost it? Also I noticed the reference to clean the coil. Where is this coil?
Kind Regards
Marc
Need to know how to clean the fan or conduit from freezer to fridge in this particualr model. Also how to clean the coil. Generic information wil not help.
Can you please give me instructions as to how to dismatle the rear pannel. The rear of the fridge, the part that is against the wall is solid, nothing to dismantle. The rear of the inside cabinet of the fridge is solid, nothing to dismantle.
Upside down model, freezer at the bottom here is a link
