Richo Aficio g7500 printer error 950. Replaced new ink woill not recognize the new full cartridge???

Tell me how long the printer sat with empty cartridges? More than 30 days?

You may want to deploy this trick: take new ink cartridges out, put them to the side. take the hair dryer and for 2-3 min, blow hot air around the area and clean up the ink with alcohol swabs until clean! Also clean with alcohol, the contact points and surrounding area. Reinsert the ink and try and see if the printer recognizes new ink.

use only new cartidge. Its the best thing you can do if you want your printer work fine with no trouble.

This might ba an issue with the cartridge holder in which its not recognizing inks or inks are defective. Call Epson for cartridge replacement is reinstalling of inks doesn't work.

Since printers are pretty much a loss-leader, many will refuse to print anything unless you have all of their overpriced cartridges installed. Some of them can also recognize a refilled or after-market cartridge and have a chip in them that sense the presence of an original cartridge when first installed.

you can try by cleaning the copper contacts on the cart .. and if it works fine with the old cart i.e if it doesnt gives any error with the old ones then possibly the problem might be with the new cart..

i had this happen to me twice with two different people, it is highly possible that your black inks are defective, its also highly possible that one of the other inks are causing this error. take them all out, and put one and see what happens, do this one at a time until you see something screwey.

also possible, the contacts on the printhead are dirty or are pushed in.

also possible, bad printhead.

Same problem - two solutions I found helped me work out mine. One said contacts needed to be cleaned and it worked to use a Q-tip and alcohol or just click it in position several times until it recognizes the cartridge - this may work. Another said that they got it to work by installing a brand new cartridge - cool, but I have one full of ink it won't recognize. So I pulled the little circuit board off a used cartridge (like you need to do with some refills) and put it on the cartridge that it wouldn't recogrnize - works great. Still haven't figured out how to get it to acknowledge ink levels though. Canon really should be more consumer friendly since these problems seem to be intended to compel the use of proprietary cartridges.

You should install driver first, then connect printer when prompted, then install inks, as it needs the driver to tell it there are full inks fitted, refer to the manual.
