If you are referring to the C5707 inverter driver transistors, you can test them in circuit with an ohmmeter. Usually one pair will show shorted although only one may be actually shorted. Normal procedure is to replace the pair that shows in circuit short. If you do not resolder the transformer connections your transistors will short again.

I dialed ##8378<SEND>, then clicked

Typing ##8378 Send brings up the phone test screen. When you select #2 (Field Test) and then select OEM monitor and select "enable" the phone resets and enters test mode.
In test mode you can press the volume up button to bring up the test menu. You can navigate this menu using the 1 and 3 keys on the number pad.
The most notable screen in test mode is found by pressing 3 until you reach SHDR protocol monitor will bring up the screen that displays real time reception and transmission information.
Other screens display other system information, but I caution against "playing around" with these menus too much.
To temporarily hide the test mode screen you can press the volume keys again. To take the phone out of test mode completely follow these steps:
1. dial ##test or ##8378 and press send 2. select 2 (field test) 3. scroll down to and select 10 (OEM monitor) 4. scroll down and select Monitor DISABLE 5. the phone will reset and return to normal mode.

Dell E173FP power led orange/flashing failure returns

First, you can get the service manual here: http://elektrotanya.com/
If the transistors failed again, yes the 0.22uf (part of tuned circuits for the inverter transformer oscillator circuits) changed value, the frequency will be off and causes over heat on the transistors due to too much current draw, You can also have bad inverter transformer, you can check the DC Ohm value but if it has one short turn, it will not show up on DC Ohm test, you have to use ringer testing (I use SENCORE LC75).

Intermittant speaker distortion on Technics SX PR602

I was struggling with the same problem with my friend piano. You need to replace check module which is plugged near power transistors. I found two bad transistors g109 and q119 (2SA1015). Changing those transistors and remaking soldering joints solved this problem.

No picture at all, sound ok 3 tube crts off after 4secs when on

might be a crooked flyback transformer, first check for shorted transistors around the transformer and components at the horizontal output stage..

Dell E152FPc Monitor powers up, and screen goes blank in 5-10 sec

ok every one there is a fix the are 4 transistor 2sc5707 and 2 transistorfu9024n and i cap 16v1000uf
if you replace these your problem will be fix for a while but to it better then dell replace the 2sc57o07 with radio shack tip3055 they are 15 amp trans instead of the low 8 amp dell uses they fail because the amps at the test for the transistor is more than 8amps all the correct parts are sold in a kit on ebay look up the 2sc5707 but i recommend upgrading to the tip3055 transistors they are a bigger transistor but you can lay them down and they work great. the capicator can be found at radio 35v1000uf is a good replacment make you monitor better because the new parts are stronger then the originals so no more failures after.
