See if your copier has "Book mode" if so it's scanning you original and looking and scanning for an open book, i.e. page left on glass and page Right (two) on glass. Like you had a book flattened out on the glass. Make any since? #2 possible malfunction in print button. #3. Are sheets coming out stuck together or do they appear to be two separate scans?
Hi Kim, there are a couple of easy ways to tackle this problem. you have a book that when the spline is opened exposes 2 pages to the glass for the possibility of copying. What YOU need to determine is whether or not you want page 1 to ouput seperately from page 2, or , would you like page one to be on one side and page 2 to be on the second side. In other words auto duplex. That decision determines which feature you will use. I will walk you thru both. I realize you want the copier to scan the first page and then scan the second without you having to move the book around. I'm thinking you would be happy if the copier did that very thing and you wound up with a 2 sided copy with page 1 on the front and page 2 on the back. Here we go. Fom the main copy display locate the 2 sided button and select it. Select "book 2 sided" and follow the prompts. You could actually copy the entire book this way and when you are thru press "done" and here comes the avalanche! If you want the images 1 sided on seperate sheets (not sure why) you can select "special features" from the display in the lower right corner and select "2 page seperation". same drill.
The printer needs to be aligned and it wasn't done after changing the catridge so it does not want to continue. Have you tried pushing the flashing copy button to print another alignment page? Do you know how to align the printer?
After changing a cartridge the printer wants to print an alignment page to make sure that it prints correctly. Some printers have you print a page and they auto align themselves. Others cue you to print the alignment page which has a picture or other graphics that are in specific places and then it instructs you to insert the alignment page face down and press "ok". The printer scans the alignment page and configures the print heads to set up by the marks. It uses the alignment page as a map of where the print should be on the paper.
Try unplugging the printer from the power supply and wait about 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on. The display should say "print alignment page". Choose yes or confirm to continue. Your printer will either print the page and align itself, or print the page and tell you to insert it and continue. Either way follow the prompts and complete the alignment process in order to continue printing as normal.
If you are unable to get the printer to reset and start the alignment procedure over again, please advise and I will help you solve this problem.
Please put the copier machine in the horizontally, and check the developer level in the developer station.Check the magnetic roller. If the copy degrade in the normal size (paper is positionly normal) the problem is in the optics section. In this case remove the mirror obturation plates, alligniament, clean the expo lamp.If the copy is degrade in the RS tray you need the check the developer unit, change and alligniament the doctor blade value (0,35mm) and change the drum collars.
