then the solenoid is not actuating to allow water into drawer. take top off, very easy, two screws in back, pull back, lift off. follow hose from softer cup to little round device/solenoid. check wiring. check hose, tho you would know there was a problem with hose, because you would see a water leak. replace solenoid. hope this is the issue. good luck.
My guess is that the valve that pushes water into the bleach compartment has stopped working. It should be accessable from the top. I have some maytags similar to your machine that i have to remove the front panel to remove a couple screws to lift the top like a car hood. Not sure about your machine though.
Did you check to make sure your hoses weren't clogged. Also check to make sue you're getting power to your water valve solenoids. If getting power check hoses.
The mouse must have been in one of your product bags...depending on the deterioration of the carcus; you may have already injested some of the decomposing material.
1. Turn off the water supply and remove the top cover
2. Make sure you have rubber glvoes. Drain the holding tank and remove and dispose of the remaining salt tablets/product left in the tank.
3. Yes, clean the tank with a disinfectant (bleach) and rinse thoughly. Be sure to rinse the tank...you don't want high levels of bleach in your supply lines.
4. Fill with new/clean softner tablets and return unit to service.
You must take out the compartment and empty it out before adding any bleach the next time, there is a type of button way in the back that you press down on pull out the entire door and empty the water for the next washing. You must press down very hard the entire door does come out check out your book for instructions it is way in the back on the left hand side. This happens to mine once in a while not all the time.
did you try cleaning the dispenser out.make sure the part that goes in the drawer sits properly, the water fills and causes a siphon.if this siphon does not happen water will stay in the dispenser.
Purchased the duet washer and dryer sept 2004..have had the same problem with water staying in the compartments. while under warranty had to place 2 service calls..the last tech order a new bleach compartment...that helped for a few months, but back to the same problem with having to pull entire container out and empty..i do remember the tech saying that whirlpool duet was first introduced in germany...then the united states...they have had the same problem...and that whirlpool is awhere of it, but nothing can be done about...except keep emptying compartment when it fills with water...our neighbor bought a duet washer last fall...no problems like we are having..whirlpool must of solved that issue with the newer versions.... paying $1000.00 for a washer and having to empty the compartment everytime doesn't make sense to me.
