My refrigator isn't making ice, and hasn't in about 6 months?

It could be a couple of resons, I have the same problem. With my refrigator its the water tube that fills the tray freeze up. So I have to shut off the unit, leave the freezer door open for about 30 minutes or so. Then restart the unit.

Our freezer and fridge or not keeping cold enough

This can be caused by the drain hole below freezer coil being blocked by ice. You MUST remove all ice in drain under freezer coil. Use turkey baster to squirt hot water into hole and use hairdryer to defrost. Possible defrost thermostat is defective. Unit never goes into defrost, ice forms on coil and in floor or back of freezer. After defrosting may work OK for a week or two but gradually gets warmer because ice is blocking ports where cool air gets to refrig. May also have water in refrig box. Can also be caused by defective defrost timer.

Refrigerator is not getting cold

Unplug it and let the freezer thaw for a day - there is likely ice buildup between the freezer and refrigertor side - which is not letting cold air get to the refrigerator side. Remove all food from the freezer and the refrigerator, and let the freezer totally defrost (allow 24 hours with the doors open) then plug it in and you should see a noticable difference. If that does not work, the fan could be bad. There are two fans, one in the back of the fridge down low on the outside, and one in the freezer behind a back panel on the inside down about half way. Try the defrosting first which should be the solution, and the easiest fix.

Ice maker stopped working, plus fridge not cold, but freezer o.k.

I would check that fan motor in the freezer section is running. it distributes cold air from freezer into refrig section also if this motor is running the top portion of freezer will not get cold enough to allow ice production. the motor is easy to repl and is mod# specific you should be able to buy one online.

Freezer ices up- refrig and freezer starts to fail

you have a defrost problem.
the things to check are the defrost heater and thermal fuse in series with it. if these are ok, you probably have a problem with the main module

Icemaker

You might have a frozen line. Also and this seems more important to you its prob to cold, Trust me to cold of a refrig will cause hollow ice cubes first leading to a frozen line. Clean your coils, if you have another refrig empty out into that, unplug it leave doors open a couple days. If you can get to water line use a hair dryer from a distance defrost line, turn down freezer half knotch 1 full one at maximum. should fix issues, especially if filter already changed. If this all check prob a clogged line, not just frozen.
