why????????? which color???? did you refill a cartridge????? most cart have electronic chips on them once done tells copier i am done so you if replace the toner inside the old cart to the copier the cart is still old

Yes the cartridges of all newer printers have chip that indicates the cart ink level, when the cart is empty the chip self destructs.

this problem due to refill cart replace with new one ur problem will be resolved

first thing you should do is to check the cart again and make sure no packing material shoud nt be ther.. try to clean the cart..perform reset.. if it doesnt work.. replace the cart.. cart are bad.

take out cart and clean/soak bottom of cart where ink comes out in rubing alcohol. or replace cart

Is it the right Cartridge you are trying to install please check and then check if the sensors are working.

All HP printers that have both black and color cartridges, must have both cartridges replaced when they run out or the printer will not work.

Clean the copper contacts of the cart and reset back in the printer and if your getting the same error message please replace the cart with another cart .......

do you have an error code on the display. plz give us some more details.

Some quick hints:
-Is the cart secured by help of the colored latches (you should hear a clicking sound).
- Do you use generic carts? might be a prob of air ventilation = drill a hole on top of the missing one.
-did you tell the printer that you have changed the cart by pressing 1 for yes?
-is another cart empty?
