The top half of both the freezer and refrigirator are warm. It is apparent there is no cooling occurring in the top half of both compartments. There is frost on the bottom back wall of the freezer but the top is room temperature. Ice melts from the ice compartment and freezes in the bottom. I recently vacuumed dust and debri from the bottom coils. Could I have hit something and disconnected something?

Its not likely that you disconnected anything. If you did it would be obviouse by a wire being loose or hanging out in the open unplug the fridge before poking around though. The frost points to a possible problem you could have a ice block in the back. Does the fan in the fzr run? If not your unit could have a defrost timer under the bottom where you cleaned it and you unplugged it. Usually newer fridges have the defrost timer in the top of the fridge side. If the fan is running the next thing to ask is if the compressor is running if not the compressor starter may be bad it is located under the plastic cap on the compressor and is about the size of a nickel and will be hooked to one of the 3 prongs of the compressor its a cheap part. If he compressor is running your heating element (defrost element) in the fzr compartment may be bad it is located where it is in contact with the cooling coils in the fzr compartment usually behind the back wall of the fzr. It can be testedwith a ohm meter and will be a long black or glass part. Attached to one end of the heating element is a limit switch it a round pastic and metal sensor apx the size of a quarter with two wires one goes to the defrost element. Its job is to limit the heat so it melts ice but does not heat the fzr up. I hope this helps good luck and remember to unplug the fridge and be safe.

GE Profile Refridgerator side warm, freezer ok?

Fridge gets cold air from freezer to cool it. Your freezer is fine but not enough cold air is getting into fridge compartment. U have some dampers or louvers that direct air flow to fridge and if they are not set properly cooling will not be adequate. Check those out.

My Daewoo refrigirator's freezer is cooling but not the lower com

sounds like you need to replace the ptc overload on the compressor as this component supplies start and run power to the compressor and its getting weak and short cycling the compressor, they just unplug and plug into the side of the compressor and when you remove it shake it by hand and if you hear it rattle thats a good sign its bad

Freezer (top) is cool, but refrigirator at room temperature

Your first step is to make sure the condenser coils and the fan are clean and there is nothing blocking air flow around the outside of the fridge. A good vaccuming and brushing will do it wonders.

If this does not improve the operation. Tell the landlord that it is bad and if it is part of the supplied appliances, he should replace or repair it for you.

If he is not cooporative, do some online searches for methods to convince him to do his job or who to contact to ensure he doesn't cause you harm.

Freezer and Refrigirator not cooling

You didn't say if the compressor is running or not. If it is and all other things you stated are running then it has a sealed system problem. The sealed system comes with a 5 yr warranty in most cases (check owners manual). If the compressor is not running then listen for a click at the compressor. If you hear the click then I would replace the relay on the compressor. If you need further help I will need the complete model # off the sticker inside the fridge section.
