Hi i have samsung side by side firdge freezer . on panel filter indicator is on
what could be reason.
also fridge is also give old smell when you open it
it the odour eliminator in firdge side
2 places filter can be top left upper corner of fridge or behind the fridge with a little longer filter type
the smell could be the filter but i would pull all drawers and shelves and i would check for mold also the possibility of water leak behind panel of water spout that has molded over this smell you could never forget cause smells like old gym socks

I have a smell problem but on the outside. When I walk in the kitchen it is very strong (Yes, like old gym socks). Inside smells good. I sprayed the coils under with Lysol and it seems to help - some. Where does the defrost liquid evaporate? There is no pan like most refrigerators and I think it might be mold in there. I have seen slime in other refrigerator pans and think this smell could be coming from there.
