I have replaced 4 of the caps where around where the sound was coming from and the noise has stopped, now the TV is trying to come up but when it tries to power the CRT the same noise was down before goes through the big wire coming from the flyback to the screen. It seems like the screen charges and descharges right away back through the big wire on the flyback. I am just wondering if it is the flyback itself or the CRT is not holding charge somehow. Any help please.

I just checked the big wire on the flyback and there is a leak making the noise I was talking about, I hope after fixing this leak everything is completely fix. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate that from you.

U see or hear any arc on the CRT,than the CRT is dead,it not taking anymore high voltage charges. The FBT probally the cause, because you replaced capacitors around there before.

There's an intermittent high pitched noise from sharp aquos lc32 le600e

Sounds like a transformer or choke that has loose windings and they are resonating, you can pull the back and put small amounts of silicone on those components or replace the power board

Hi I have found that this website is helpful. But my situation is a little different than some others.I too have had the green blinking light and by reading found out that it's normally due to bad caps that...

The Power/Timer light SHOULD stay green on a normal working TV. It sounds like the main board is either defective or has a connection problem to ??? (power supply, etc). All fans should be turning (a hint of missing power). Check ALL cables...be thorough.

Samsung sp-r4232 power button blinks 4 times but tv wont turn on

I have this TV. My father in law tried to turn it on one day and it started making a clicking sound and never came on. So he went out and bought a new tv and gave it to me. It came on when I brought it home and worked for a couple weeks. Then just the other day it stopped working. When you hit the power button the light around it blinks four times and then you here a clicking sound. TV does not come on. Took the back panel off and I don't see any damaged caps or fuses. b435b80e-6d09-419f-a021-9b8a430e0a74.jpg

Hi pitch squeel (Electricial Hi frequency noise), sounds like noise from a step up transformer or inductor. What can I do to stop this noise... It stops after about 1 or 2 hours after power on. but it is...

Check your power supply board for some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). A bad cap can sometimes produce a harmonic, causing issue's with the sound. Also look at the signal board (where all the inputs are), for bad caps. I have come across this on a lcd tv!! Good luck, hope this is helpful!

High pitch noise from the flyback

You can tell to some extent what it may be by listening carefully and trying to identify the location. If you, remove the back cover of the set; stay away from danger, just listen to where it seems like the sound is coming from. If it is coming from inside the high voltage cage it is the flyback. If coming from around the main power transformer it is one of the power supply parts.

High Pitched Noise

most high pitch noise comes from the anode conection on the picture tube thats connected to the flyback anode cap thats mean there is a high voltage leak,to stop the noise you can discharge the high voltage take off the cap and clean with alcohol.if the noise continue.you will have to put some red or clear silicone both the cap and tube stick together leave to dry for about 2 to 4 hrs.this will eliminate the leaking.good luck.

Popping noise

The anode cap on the back of the tv tube is leaking the high voltage be careful as going into the back of a tv it store very high voltage and could be fatal.the solution to problem get a tube of clear or red silicone discharge the high from the tube, you do this by getting a alligator clip with wire attach clip to a ground wire on the back of the tube attached the other end of the wire to screw driver gently push it under the Anode cap you will hear a popping sound with i little sparks. remove the cap from off the tube get some alcohol wipe the dirt away apply the silicone around the anode and the anode cap place in on back and leave it to dry and cure for about 7 hrs close up back and turn on your tv and all the popping sound is gone.good luck.but if it is the wire for the anode cap that comes from the flyback is the one leaking change the flyback.again good luck.contact me on fixya.com or email me at [email protected]
