My toshiba projection tv model 42pw330 has got a picture problem just started with a blured siloete of blue or red outline can anyone help me please?

try wathing the picture in picture.

Not knowing the model, I would say that you have aconvergence problem. On most newer sets this can be corrected with the remote. Go to menu,then advance settings, then red or blue convergence

need to replace convergence control chips

somewhere in the tv menu there is a place to make video adjustments. one should be for aligning the color guns. one is for red and the other two are green and blue. it will give you a cross in the center of the screen. it should also give you prompts to adjust the lines for centering and to save changes. this happens eventually on all rear projection tv sets.

sounds like the red convergence Ic is weak ready to go out. try replacing the ICs around 10.00 do the blue as well as that will be next.

If the blue colors will not line up, and the blue appears to sag inward from one or more sides, then you can bet that one of your convergence IC's has either cracked loose or burned out. The IC should be resoldered or replaced and the convergence realigned by someone experienced with projection TV convergence circuits.

Sounds like a problem with convergence, poss just requires new STK 392-110 ICs , may need a couple of resistors that go due to faulty ICs
