Can't adjust the value of the width in Service mode ' WID '

Sounds that its white balance adjustments have been wearied.
It will be best to contact any experienced service technician to adjust ti. you have to enter its service mode, to adjust the data values to this. It is really a skilled work.

It sounds that the width of the picture to your TV is more than normal. There are two reasons for this fault. If the width adjustment data value in its service menu mode has been misaligned or the output DC voltage from the main power regulator is more than normal. You can determine which among the condition stated above is now effected to your TV
Just look at the picture. If the width and height of the picture is seem to be more than normal, make sure that the power regualtor section circuit has the fault. If the dimension of the picture is affected to its width only, [excess than normal] the data value with service mode should be checked.
Also note the position of the picture. If the picture position has moved so much than normal, ether towards left in this case, you have to adjust the picture position. Anyway, it will be best to contact any experienced service technician, since, service mode entry and data adjustment are skilled work.

hi, sounds like a convergence issue. try this...

Look through your manual. Your manual will always give you the most specific directions for your particular model. Look for an "adjusting convergence" or "set manual convergence" section.

Enter the menu on your TV. Use the remote control and bring up the menu.

Choose "Convergence." This may be under "Picture Settings," "Function" or "Advanced Options."

Select a color. You will have red, green and blue to choose from. Do each one, starting with red.

Press "Enter." A crosshair pattern will appear on your screen.

Adjust vertically. If there is a horizontal red line visible, press the up or down arrow keys (or channel up or down) to adjust the convergence until the line is superimposed on the horizontal-center line of the white crosshair.

Adjust horizontally. If there is a vertical red line visible, press left or right (or volume up or down) to adjust horizontally. Do this until the line is superimposed on the vertical line of the white crosshair.

Save settings. It is important to save your settings when you are done, instead of simply exiting the menu.

Repeat these steps for all colors.

Rear projection TV is made up of a TV, optical lens and a screen. So picture projection problems are from the small TV tube. Take off the back to reveal the TV and see what could be replaced?

Go into the service menu and turn down the red push and red cut a few notches. Write down every value in the service menu and be careful to make sure you don't change anything else. Also, turn down the brightness a couple of clicks and the red glow will be gone.

Or, try this - Press Mute on the remote control twice, press Mute a third time and keep holding at the same time, press the Menu button on the TV front panel. If you do it correctly, you will see a small S on the screen. Congrats, you are in service mode. Press Menu on the remote to get to the adjustable settings. Be careful not to change anything without writting the original value down first. Also be careful of hitting other buttons on the remote. To reduce red push, Use the channel up down button until it says RCUT. Adjust the value using the volume button on the remote. I recommend setting RCUT to 80H, which is the preset value according to the service manual. To exit Service Mode, simply power off the TV. Good luck.

There is a service menu adjustment. I have seen several of these sets with bad components in the horizontal width control circuit. maybe your other set has a width problem. put both on the same channel. like cnn with the ticker on the bottom. what is the difference in size?
the width adj. procedure is: with the set off. use the remote, enter. MENU>5>VOL+>POWER . the set will come on in the service mode. then with the menu adj. buttons you can step threw the service menu to H.WIDTH adj. until full picture. also VERT. HEIGHT. when you are done adjusting make sure you press the mute button and watch the word WRITE flash from green to red or you won't save your adjustments.

check the horizontal frequency and the electrolytic filters used in it. damm sure there must be filter that make it look like a concave. also check it by decreasing the width from the service mannual of processor. there is a service switch for every processor. that is his internal control unit. may be it is from the processor adjustment. you can set it by increasing or decreasing the frequency or display width-height clock pulse from the processor. to know about that perticular switch you must concern to the company....

They are all different, in every set. Why do peeps not remember to leave these settings alone! sorry but now you will need to have the set serviced.

I just posted a question about a convergence problem( juice07 ). I am unable to adjust the red color in the convergence adjustment mode. Did you have a similar problem ?? Please help.
