How do I tune a Grundig TV/DVD with no remote? Is it a combination of buttons on the front panel? Thanks

Get a pen and a piece of paper.

If I remember correctly, each button has a bizarre symbol next to it.

Draw the buttons on the paper and draw the symbol that appears beside each button.

With the TV on, press the first button and note what it does. Press it a second time to see if that progresses to something further or cancels the operation.

Repeat this for the other buttons.

I seem to remember a vertical green line appearing on Grundig sets which indicated that the tuning was activated. Look for buttons such as > or >> or < or << that suggest scanning for channels. Make sure you can pick up analogue TV signals in your area.

It also helps if you have a VCR or DVD recorder which is already tuned and you can tune the TV to that signal.

Horizontal Green Lines On Screen. No Picture Visible. Problem is intermitent.

Are you certain of the connection? Sometimes the connector becomes loose or otherwise loses integrity. Maybe it's the cable (HDMI, right?)--or both the TV's connector and that. They may become worn.

Be careful with your LCD screen--they are more delicate than most people realize.....

What channel or setting is used on the TV to play a DVD?

Hi, Channel 3 or 4 might work for older TVs. Most new HDTV's have a mode setting in the menu. (Video 1 or 2 or 3) or (Component 1 or 2). On your remote you may have DVD button. Try all these suggestions, 1 of these will work. You can play with the remote too. Good luck.

I have a Sony Bravia 52 inch HDTV that has a line down the middle of the picture in some shows, particularly when action is panning across a scene. Is this a common problem?

Check with a different CD or a different channel. Sometimes some,

secret codes are displayed to find the pirated CD. Any how check in different program channels. This is not TV problem.

If you have DVD try a similar action movies in CD and play to satisfy!

A thick blue horizontal line appeared in my LCD screen and won't go away. I can still take pictures and they print out fine, but how can I get rid of the blue line?

This is probably a problem with your LCD monitor or the connections to it. Does the blue line show in all situations such as record, playback, and menu mode?
Test your monitor by plugging into your camera the TV cord that came with your camera. Connect to a TV and use it as a monitor when your camera is on. be sure to switch to the TV to channel three or video to get a picture. Check the different screen modes: record, play, and menu. If the blue line does not appear on the TV then there is damage to your monitor or its connections. My guess is you won't see the blue line on your TV since you get good prints. If you are on warranty, get it fixed. Otherwise, you have a choice between paying for a repair or living with it. Good luck.

Philips Flat Screen Green Lines

The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.

Single lines of single color (red, green, blue) are LCD panel failures.

1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.

Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.
