Philips Flat Screen Green Lines

I bought a Philips flat screen 29PT5026 TV. There are two vertical green lines on both sides of the screen. The picture quality of the rest of the screen is perfect. What could be the cause of this problem and how can it be fixed?

The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.

Single lines of single color (red, green, blue) are LCD panel failures.

1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.

Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.

You must contact a svc co. This is a upper or lower buffer board problem and possibly a control board. Nothing you have done wrong, it just happened.
