Bosch wff2001 washing machine - door catch won't keep door closed

I have removed the door catch from the door and nothing looks broken.

When looking at the catch on the body of the machine i can see a small metal plate (I assume that this is the magnetic catch to keep the door locked when in use). Could this be at fault?

If i need to remove the front panel to sort this can you please advise me of where the screws are to do this.

Many thanks

SOURCE: Bosch WFF2001 can I use it cold fill only

Sure it will work but both fill hoses have to be hooked up or you have to buy a hose bib cap to place on the hot side to keep the water from comming out the other side.

SOURCE: unusual display on panel (padlock) machine can't be programmed door is not locked however

i just went through the same thing.......you need to hold the option and extra rinse buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds, this will unlock it.....so turn the machine on and press the two icons, dont worry about the beeping and flashing after 6 seconds the padlock symbol will go and you can use the machine as usual.....i wish they put that 'minor detail' in the manual...cheers!!

SOURCE: Hi, my front loader washing

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.

On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly.

Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your washer solution inquiry.

good luck going forward.

You first of all need to check the pump filter. This is located at the bottom front right of washer. Look for a drop down flap or cover, once located, unscrew filter anti-clockwise to remove and clean. Of course be prepared for a lot of water and junk. The pump itself is directly behind the filter housing, check there to see if anything is stuck in the plastic blades. It should turn freely. Your washer door will not open if there is water in the washer, just some kind of precaution, so don't force the door.

Bosch Logixx won't start - Stuck on "Close the door" even though door is closed.

Open the door, look along the top stainless on the door and you should find the ENr number (model number) etched into the stainless, may need to give it a wipe and look at an angle to read it. Post the ENr and that should help with diagnosis.

Door won't unlock and cycle won't start

The interlock has failed most likely. Its a small electronic part that the door catch connects into when you close the machine door. Its tricky to release but can be done. Unplug the machine, remove the lid, put your hand down the front of the machine to where the door catch goes in and fiddle until it releases. It takes a bit of luck when you dont know what your looking for.

Popping (electric) sound from back. Caused breaker to pop. Opened unit to get a better look, nothing broken or blackened. Reset breaker. and turned machine "on". No more popping sound. Washer only fills...

Have a look at the capacitor, this is part of the starting circuit for the electric motor.

It is a cylindrical shape and usually splits or bulges.

Post again if you need further assistance.
