Dvd player disc tray opens and then closes straight away how do i get it to stop and let me load disc

There is a loading motor and a belt associated with it, connected to a gear wheel assembly that pulls in the disc tray as well as gets it out. If the loading belt, said above, will get loose, the disc loading tray wont get into it properly. There is a sensor switch fitted inside the loading mechanism, which senses the proper tray in action, as this tray will touch it when it ahs been fullly loaded. Due to any reason, the switch said above does not engaged properly, the main system control IC will detect the loader position to be improper, and will give command to eject the tray. That is now happening to your DVD player.
If you have knledge and experience, just open your DVD player. locate the loading belt, and repalce it with a new one. You can buy this belt from most of the electronic sparepart selling shops at your town. Just keep the old belt in hand as a sample, when you go to buy a new one. OK

The DVD player jammed, that is why it is not opening.

To get it to open and close, you will have to unplug the player, then unscrew the screws around it. Take off the cover then you will have access to the disc tray. Then you can plug the player and press open, it will attempt to open but stop, then you can try to apply a little force in pushing the disc tray towards the open direction, it will sit properly and open up.

You can as well unscrew the disc tray and remove your disc, then you press the open button and sit the disc tray properly it will open freely and easily after then.

Power off, then disconnect from the wall plug.This resets the dvd. after five ninutes, reconnect the power and start the combo. Should have 'load' on the display, then open the tray of the dvd.When you close the tray, it will try to 'read' a dvd again.

The fault is not from the disc, it is from the player.

The disc tray is actually malfunctioning. Which is as a result of a fault on the mechanism that is controlling the opening and closing of the disc tray.

Another fault might be that the button that controls the disc tray might be stuck.

test if it is the button.

1. Unplug the player from the power source,
2. plug it back,
3. turn it on,

if it opens without you pressing the open button, then the fault is from the button.

check it for any irregularity.

1. get the appropriate screwdriver,
   
2. open the cover of the player,
3. carefully force the front control panel open from the sides,
4. then check for any damages,
5. change the open button and it will be okay again.

test if it is the disc tray
press the open button, if it opens closes continuously.
then there is a problem with the mechanism that controls the open and close of the disc tray.

to fix this,

1. Get the appropriate screwdriver,
2. open the back cover of the player,
3. look to the left side of the player and you will see a mechanism that controls the tray,
4. change the mechanism with a new one.

after doing that, the player will be in good condition again.

Below is a known process to unlock your region settings. Not 100% surefire.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.

2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner

3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

Now it to me about 20 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.
So if you don’t get it to work straight away don’t loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

try opening the Drive Trays, and hold a hot air dryer about 2-3 feet away for about 15-20 Minutes, Aim the dryer towards the opened trays. close the trays reboot the computer.
If still not working, i,d suggest putting a laser head cleaner in, and getting some more heat for your House.
Computers do usually tend to function much better at Room Temprature.

When i put a cd into the tray the door will close. It will say its loading but then the cd tray will reopen again not allowing the cd to play.

Hello, with mechanical problems with sophisticated systems of gears etc, the only way thate one can fix it is if you send me a digital picture yourself. To access the inside of the DVD player, you will have to get a handyman to open the DVD player up with a screwdriver, by undoing some screws which hold the cover to the player itself. Then, with the player's circuit boards (The Green/brown Boards with weird components on it) showing, take around 5-6 photo's of the loading tray and the playing tray.(Where the disc is when watching a movie)In the time being, open the layer's cover as instructed before, and look at the inside of the tray for any broken plastic, debris or anything stopping the tray from opening.
