Adjust the video input on the TV to match the input connector that is being used to connect to the PS3™ system. Check that the cable is securely inserted. Try disconnecting the cable from the PS3™ system or TV and then reconnecting it. There may be a problem with the AV cable in use. Try using another cable that is compatible with the PS3™ system. If the video output settings on the system do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system. Then, with only the system and the TV connected, touch the system’s power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution. If the resolution of the video content is not supported by the TV in use, when the video is played the screen may go blank. If this happens, go to the screen for selecting the resolution in the system’s video output settings, and then select all the resolutions that are supported by the TV.

60gb ps3 wont start up.

Possibly the very common mother board failure. Slight possibility that the power supply is failed, but the capacitors in either component can be tested with capacitor tester and service manual to test for the faulty component.

PS3 stopped during play, now won't stay on.

Press and Hold your PS3 power button for at least 6 seconds and see if it beeps twice.... Make sure you have your composite jacks(Red, White, Yellow) hooked up to your PS3 and TV in order to see diplay and hear sound.
This will reset your PS3, but you will still keep all your data!
Good Luck!

PS3 Problem... I turned on my ps3 but nothing shows up on the television screen and controls wont even detect... PS3 shows that it is receiving power because the power light on ps3 is green. Can someone...

Turn the power off on the switch on the back, and then back on again. Hold down the power button, keep on holding it down after the first beep, but let go once another couple of beeps sound. It should then take at max a minute but then it should show a screen set up section.

Got a ps3 that when I try to turn it on the light goes green then sharply turns yellow then goes red and starts beeping.

Keeping hitting the on switch really quick. Keep doing it for a while till you hear a couple beeps in a row. It's like jump starting a car all of a sudden it will contact. It is the button on the ps3 that have the problem.
