I have a Ricoh Aficio cl3000 networked via USB to my airport extreme to my iMac 3.06 Ghz. When I print the data in light blinks 3-4 times and then stops and the print job deletes from spool. I have tried a direct USB connection to the printer with the same results.

How can I connect my Imac with my Toshiba hdtv Series V4210U via airport extreme?

Does your Toshiba have a wireless adapter? If so, you can set up a home network, if you don't already have one. If no,Does the iMac have a VGA or HDMI connector? You can connect via a adapter cable, Vga to HDMI or a HDMI cable, depending on the iMac connections.

Problems with Mac 10.5.7 Installation

what program are you trying to print from on the Mac? I ran into a similar problem with Quark. here's that solution:
went through some Quark forums on line and read everything about printing problems with Quark 7 or 7.3. Most posts blamed the printer or the driver. However, the common theme was that it was only Quark and not earlier versions.the CUPS filter solution is no helpIn QuarkXPress, you can choose a data format to specify how the data for the pictures in your layout are sent to a PostScript printer: Binary, ASCII, or Clean 8-bit. Because binary data may be incorrectly interpreted through certain network printing protocols, or because your specific PostScript printer may not be able to interpret Binary data, you may need to change the data encoding method from Binary to either ASCII or Clean 8-bit. Please see the More Information section of this article for a detailed discussion of how these encoding methods differ.

Solution: Go to File > Print and select the Pictures pane. In the Data field of the Pictures pane, select either ASCII or Clean 8-bit.

I was told by HP that I could not use USB over a network. I Called Apple support and was hooked up through my Airport Extreme using USB. You want a better solution invest in a Mac. They have the know how and what they are doing. It's like comparing a Model T to a Cadillac when you tout PC's.

Airport Extreme 802.11g

At this point you are much better off installing a USB wireless antennae than spending money on an Airport card, cracking open the iMac, and installing it.

USB wireless adapters are cheap, plentiful, and have more capabilities than the generation of Airport cards that were made for G5 iMacs.
