a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old
I FACED THE SAME PROBLEM . BEST OPTION IS TO GO TO THE STORE FROM WHERE YOU GOT IT DONT TAKE THE RISK OF FIXING IT YOURSELF YOU MAY TURN UP COMPLICATING THE PROBLEM MORE
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, AND A ENGINEER SAID THAT THE BEARINGS HAVE GONE AND THAT IT TAKES 2 PEOPLE TO FIX IT AND THAT THE BEARINGS 7 DRUM COME AS ONE COMPLETE SYSTEM AND WILL ROUGHLY COST ABOUT £200 AND TAKE ABOUT 2 HRS TO FIX. SO IS IT WORTH IT OR BUY ANOTHER ONE INSTEAD.
If it is making a sound like a loud rumbling sound similar to a jet plane taking off, it probally due to the seal has failed causing water to leak into the bearings. The bearings begin to rust, and no longer round and the noise gets progressively louder. It can be rather expensive to fix. Get a few estimates before deciding whether it is worth fixing.
Could be more than 1 problem by sounds of this. !st may be that heater is not working and so machine will not advance to rince. As for banging this could be caused by pump failing to take water away. Or on a more seriouse note could be drum or bearings. Normally if bearings have gone then it will sound like a plane going over. I think it is likely heater, or /and pumping failure.
