My blackberry is asking for a numeric passkey to

The passkey for the H500, as well as for the vast majority of bluetooth headsets, is hardcoded to '0000' (four zeros).
You just have to pair your bluetooth headset once. All subsequent connections between the headset and phone should be done automatically, provided that both the headset and the phone's bluetooth stack are turned on.
Please, let me know if you need further informations.
Cheers! Carlos

Need numeric passkey to pair bluetooth to phone

The numeric password is 0000 or 1234. I have this bluetooth myself, it works great except for the plastic earpiece, be careful not to break it. Also verify that your phone is compatible if those passcodes do not work. You can do this through numerous sites for the phone or H15. Or by calling your phone company.

I am trying to pair my cell phone (VerizonTour) with my PC sony vaio vgc-js 100. my phone finds the pc but then asks for the pc''s numeric passkey. how do i find out what that is?

Your pc doesn't have a numeric pass key. All you have to do is entery any arbitrary number when it asks for the pass key. But you should the remember the number that you entered as the passkey. Once you enter the pass key in the cell phone a similar prompt will appear on the computer asking for a pass key or password or something similar. Just enter the exact same number that you entered in your cell phone. Ofcourse you don't have to do this everytime you connect. Just create a pairing relationship between your pc and your cell phone. Consult the manual of your phone to find out how to do this. This is actually a security feature. It prevents unintentional pairing of two bluetooth enabled devices. It does get kind of annoying at times.

Trying to sync with my blackberry 8900 asking for numeric passkey for my plantronic 220 ... dont think I needed this when I had a Motorola Razor.... annoying.... any thoughts.

the passkey is just like a password which is a single time entry into your phone for connecting blue tooth devices in a secured way.
once you enter the passkey the phone will be able to identify and connect to your device each time you search for blue tooth devices in the phone.so please do not get annoyed, go ahead and give a passkey of your own choice(like birth date. so that you wont forget it easily since you wont use it again until you reset the phone or connect other devices).
this passkey can also be used to connect it to laptops, desktops if they have blue tooth.

also remember this passkey is used to restrict any unauthorized access to your phone.!!!
should you have any questions please write to us again.thanks for contacting fixya !

Need a numeric passkey for tomtom one xl to enter into the blackberry 8830

try this, pair from the tomtom and not your BB, set your blackberry's bluetooth to discoverable.

from the tomtom search for BT devices, your BB should show up, connect to it, and when asked for a passkey try entering 1234 or 0000. if those dont work your BB should show that the tomtom is attempting to connect and should ask you whether to accept or deny, it may then ask for a passkey which you specify on your BB which you then enter on the tomtom
