Short answer, No.
It shouldn't be getting jammed. Sometimes it's caused form damp apaper and also the paper trays guides are not quite set up correctly.

Keep getting paper jam error with my hp 1610 al in one printer there is no paper jammed in the printer

If your printer has a paper tray, do not fill the tray. Overfilling the paper tray is frequently causes paper jams. Many printers have sliding mechanisms that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not correctly positioned, it can cause a paper jam.

My Brother MFC-9840CDW keeps jamming every time I print mailing labels. I've had it four 1.5 years with no trouble. The label gets stuck and I have to pull out the toner tray to fetch it. I also...

hello, sounds like there are many possible solutions for you machine, first with paper jamming, are labels going thru manual feed tray, or paper tray, it might be possible that mp feed roller needs cleaning or replacing. if paper tray, simple would be feed roller, clean or replace, if jams continue with normal paper from paper tray, the problem will be front door, i have yet to be able to repair paper jams when front door assembly fails. as far as colors, both drum and toner can cause this problem, if using 3rd party toner, this will also cause some color problems. sorry no real quick fix for this machine, i've tried.

Keep getting a service error 5100 notice

Hi,

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.

Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.

Hope this initial info helps

Have a samsung ml2150 which keeps saying paper jam 2 i can see no paper stuck anywhere any ideas please paulmcfc

Inside the printer, there is a sensor which detects the paper.if something is still stuck in between the sensor or some dust is set between the sensor can make the printer feel that paper is still stuck-ed up.
In that case it will keep on showing the paper jam.to solve this issue, you need to open up the printer and clean the sensor assembly gently.once its done it will no more show paper jammed error.
thanks.

I keep getting intermittent paper jams in the back. Not every time, just occasionally. Nothing can be stuck or jammed because I keep getting good copies too.

if you have used the fax a lot or have used a cheaper quality paper the rubber feed rollers are slipping.

Open the unit up and use a bit of isopropyl alcohol on a paper towl and rub or clean the roller. Let dry and close it up again. That usually will clean enough to make it work again. If not the roller may need to be replaced.

My printer keeps on jamming, says I need to re-align the paper, which i've done but the paper won't feed through. Someone please help. Thank you! Anna

Try cleaning all the rollers with 90% rubbing alcohol, as well as any tight spaces on the printer... Use Q tips. Also inspect rubber rollers for wear and replace any worn ones (they're not expensive).

You may also have some paper jammed deep in there. taking the printer apart and cleaning everything with rubbing alcohol should solve that.

False Paper Jam Message

Probably a jam sensor is dirty or stuck. Look through the paper path for a stuck plastic sensor arm, or dirt or paper dust on photocell typr sensors.Paper sensors are normally located near where paper feeds, and where it exits the machine. The paper must pass over these sensors as it travels through the machine. If a scrap of paper is left on the sensors, they will report it as a jam. If you can, try manually pushing a sheet of paper through the printer, ONLY in the direction it normally feeds. This may free up a stuck sensor arm, or force out the jammed scrap.
