SOURCE: removal of door seal on hotpoint washer drier wd420

You will achieve nothing by removing the door seal .
Depending what is in there, better to leave alone and trust it will find its way into the filter.
If it is anything substantial then it involves major work.

SOURCE: When we run the wash, black marks appear on some

I had the same problem - mostly it was noticeable on whites. I have a well and hard water. When I removed the dispenser - I found a nasty, brownish buildup which seemed to flow down with the bleach and attach to my clothes. When I cleaned the dispenser and the surrounding area - my whites came out white! Sometimes even gray haired women can do mechanical things.

Haam washing machine error e2

Never heard of the make 'Haam"? Perhaps you mean 'Haier'? Anyway, it might be a generic drain error

An E2 Error code indicates that the washer is still draining after 8 minutes. Check the following: Check that the drain hose is not more than 391 ?3" (100 cm) from the floor. Remove any clogs from the drain hose.

Water will not drain

probably a blocked pump. unplug and move washer out from wall. remove back panel to expose workings. pump is down the bottom, and you should be able to disconnect any water pipes and check inside pipes / pump for foreign objects.

I have a hier (semi-automatic) top loading washing machine. It gives E2 error every time I push start button after loading with clothes. What is the reason? how can I fix it?

Hi Asif from retired Englishman in SW France,

Haier 'E2' states 'drainage error- water not emptied within 4 minutes'.

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My miele is saying check drain - what should I do?

You probably have foreign objects in the drain pump. To access the drain pump, open the cover on the lower left hand side of the unit. Once thats open you will see the drain pump. Turn the knob to open drain pump. There will probably be water still in the pump so you may want to have a small container and some towels handy. Reach inside the pump and clean out any foreign object. The rotor is located in the back of the pump, stick your fingers inside and make sure it spins freely. That should take care of your problem.

Error code f21, and the door stays locked

Error Code F21 = LONG DRAIN

Most probable cause is a foreign object blocking the filter. Remove the lower front panel. The filter is located in between the pump and tub. remove the filter and clean out foreign material (socks, coins, nails ect..) and reinstall If not check the following items

Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump
is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
7. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
8. Replace the pump.

Front load waher will not drain

Hi, your washer water pump, could be burnt out, or clogged up, but first check drain hose for kink, remove back of machine, locate water pump, device that your drain hose are connected to, remove all hoses, pump from washer, and clean, sometimes foreign objects get into it, and prevent pump impeller from spinning, also check water pump winding (coil) with ohm tester, place tester lead, one on each terminal on pump (motor) if you hear beep sound, pump motor o/k, if not, pump burnt out, replace it, but first remove pump, and clean it. after cleaning replace pump, try machine. you could put drain hose, close to floor, into buck, and water will empty by gravity, if water is not emptying, that's evidence your water pump is block, small object (handkerchief, coins etc.) gets into them, from time to time, first clean your water pump, `and check for kink, in drain hoses. . always disconnect power, before attempting any repairs. good luck.

Washer won't drain.

Remove power first! The pump is very easy to remove, ( unlocks from the base ) take the pump apart and check for foreign objects inside the pump assy. The power wires pull off and matters not which way they go back on. Also check the hoses to and from the drain pump for any foreign objects. The pump is usually at the back right side ( looking at the washer from the front )

Kenmore elite washer drain problem

“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump
