Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
lightning can do extensive damage to electronics equipment especially flat panel TV's. I would really recommend a professional diagnosis instead of board swapping. You could have several boards that are damaged!
You are better off replacing the power supply board. Usually the mother board will output a power ok signal to turn on the TV only when the power supply is working correctly (all voltages are within specs), similar to a computer, having said so, if you have the schematics you can verify those voltages being output from the power supply upon depressing the power button. The +5v stand by voltage is most likely ok, since the mother board is at least providing you with the blinking light. It is the +12V and +24V which are not being output, along with any other auxiliary voltages. I would suggest either having a replacement board (power PCB) installed or otherwise feeding the needed voltages by substituting those missing ones with a variable DC power supply, just to verify it. Follow above only if familiar with electronics and electricity. safety first!.
If you rre lucky to get away with a low cost repair , pleae open and ccheck for failure of the surrge protector / fuse in the mains front end. use a meter to check for shorts in mains circcuit. If +B is fine with all votages then your set has a fault into the main cicuitry, you will need to systematically probe stage by stage, could be multiple failure if the strike has gone in and maybe costly. Good luck
Can you unplug the TV for about 15 seconds, and then plug back in and watch the stand-by light. Tell me how many time the stand-by light blinks in regular intervals. If it doesn't blink at all, you need to change a fuse on the g-board. Once this is done run back through the stand-by blink light process, and more troubleshooting can be done if problem isn't already solved. If the stand-by light just keeps blinking with a count over ten just tell me, and I'll look for other possibilities.
due to lightning storm high voltage passed into ur television circuit...normal voltage is 230v is an input to the television..due to lightnin high volt may be in millon of volts passed in it...so it may affect ur main board..better u call service man to rectify it...mostly change ur main board..it wont work in future
Yes, it's quite possible that you indeed may have sufferd from a Power Spike, induced by lightning during the storm, esspecially if plugged in during said storm. I have had quite a few customers ova the years with this exact problem. I always advise my clients to unplug ALL devices during a storm, and for ones that simply cannot be unplugged then some sort of Spike/Surge Protection device MUST be used. As a matter of interest, I have written many a report to insurance companies to support a claim for a replacement.
