There was a storm yesterday but I am unsure if power flickered or not. The problem is when I push the button to turn on the tv it sounds like its turning on but a red light just blinks. Does this mean I need to go to the store for a new tv?

Yes, it's quite possible that you indeed may have sufferd from a Power Spike, induced by lightning during the storm, esspecially if plugged in during said storm. I have had quite a few customers ova the years with this exact problem. I always advise my clients to unplug ALL devices during a storm, and for ones that simply cannot be unplugged then some sort of Spike/Surge Protection device MUST be used. As a matter of interest, I have written many a report to insurance companies to support a claim for a replacement.

I have a toshiba tp50f60 and our power went out and now our power button just blinks
I have a Toshiba TheaterView T250V61 Big screen and yesterday during the day it just shut off except for the blinking red light. I couldnt even turn that off with the remote. We unplugged it all night but today the same problem. Is is shot or fixable? We dont have the manual for this TV

TV tries to come on then shuts down. I checked the Bt supply to the HOT and it was 208vdc which I considered very high.
when I open the toshiba 21" tv the picture and sound is ok but the character keeps on rolling, after 10 ten minutes the set shut off and can not be turn ON by th e remote. I try to unplugged it and switched ON again it won't, you have to wait for 30 minutes again to turn it ON.
