Loud pop is usually damage to one of the boards that drive the screen--inverters or T-con type boards.

Not likely to be a do it yourself repair.

sounds like a large capacitor has gone on main board
check for swelling or bulge/can be square blue in colour

Ur tv have burns capacitors,look for pop ups caps.

Chances are something in the power supply board failed and that was the pop you heard, a new board should get ti going again

Unfortunately, that board is the inverter board. And for this model the inverter board is only supplied with the the PDP panel. The panel is quite expensive, here's a link if needed:

you need to replace y-sustain board.

likely blew a cap or diode in the power supply ,
if you stay out of it then it will cost less to service,
techs hate to work on a mess of someone else's
