Question about Maytag EPIC MFW9700S Front Load Washer
We were told it is in the pump but what could cause it? we do use the HE detergent. could something else cause it? How do we clear the problem? how do I reset the machine and how do I prevent this in the future?
The F21 code on the Maytag EPIC is indicative of a pump problem. The pump impellers should be checked. There should be four of them. Sometimes the impeller blades can be broken by coins, etc. Make sure that the pump is clear of debris. Finally, remove the discharge hose, pucker up, and blow through it. If after clearing the initial slug of water, the hose doesn't blow free and clear, you have something stuck in there. Hope this helps you and best wishes.
