SOURCE: my fridge compartment is warm

Check the freezer for frost on its back wall. The refrigerator gets the cold air for cooling from the freezer section. If you have frost on the back wall you have a problem in the defrost circuit. There are three parts involved in the defrost of the coil. Heaters, thermostat or defrost thermostat, and timing device. If your model has a mechanical timer you can located it and rotate the clutch head screw Clockwise very SLOWLY until you hear one click. This puts the freezer into the defrost mode. After 30 minutes if the defrost takes place and the refrigeration does not restart, rotate the clutch head screw a little more and it will start. This tells you the timer is the problem. If it does restart by itself and defrost does not take place your problem is in the heater of defrost termination thermostat. The timer is generally located near the controls for the temperature.

SOURCE: leaking in the freezer compartment

This is a common problem with all refrigerators. The problem is most likely to be in the defrost condensate drain line. Beginning in freezer and making its turns to condensate pan below your refrigerator.Send your model number and I will be able to point out where. Thank You

SOURCE: Type: RT24MH2 Freezer TOP Fridge BOTTOM The freezer

Hi.

The problem is usually the defrost system. In some case a broken of frozen damper system (the air fan) can give the same problem. Even if it is not really common the temperature control system may also fail causing insufficient cooling in the fridge.

Try first performing a complete defrost (leave unit off overnight or for several hours). The fridge will restart cooling afterward. The fresh food section should be cooling again as well.

If after defrost, the problem does not occur anymore, than it was a blocked damper motor. Usually because of ice formation. If you still get the problem after few days or week, then the defrost system is not working. In that case the repair is done accessing the evaporator, whose coil is probably frozen, and testing heater, fan and thermostat. The defrost control must also be checked. Here the description of the job done on a Kenmore. The parts in the evaporator and the testing procedures are the same: When the fridge is not cooling ....

Regards.

Ginko.

I have a 10 years E521T fisher & paykel. The freezer compartment is working fine, however the fridge compartment is not working even adjust temperture. It's beeping and can be reset with pressing

Hi,
From thee sounds of your issue you will need a sensor or a fan motor to move air from one section to another. Most likely this would be a fan motor located within the freezer section either not running or air flow is obstructed and can't leave the freezer section to enter through passages to cool the other section. Locate the air ports within the refer section, open freezer door (is there air coming out of air port in this section?). Now, close door to freezer, (is the same air flow still there?). If not you have an air flow restriction and this would need to be addressed. Good Luck, hit me up if you have more questions

Fridge section of fridge freezer not cold despite turning thermostat to max. Freezer section appears to be working fine.

Make sure that if it has a "colder" knob in the freezer section that it is not set all the
way over to coldest. This blocks all cold air entering the lower compartment when
set this way. It actually has been eliminated on some models.

Also you may have ice buildup in the stack assembly that feeds
the lower compartment or even a frozen upper compartment behind the back
panel of the freezer limiting air flow to the lower compartment. Make sure to unplug unit if service is necessary in these areas. I hope this is helpful.

Refrigerator Compartment not cooling properly: freezer compartment working properly

Check the freezer section for frost build up, there is probably a problem with the defrost cycle. 1 of 3 things defrost bi metal would be the likely problem. The back panel in the freezer should be removed to see if there is too much frost.

Top half fridge not cold freezer department fine

I had the same problem; the top fridge compartment was warming up to 14C while the freezer compartment was starting to defrost (frozen stuff was starting to become soft. I took the rear wall off the freezer compartment and found it all iced up. I defrosted it with a blower heater then powered it back up. It all worked fine for a month when the same thing happened. I figured that the defrost cycle wasn't working. I located the defrost timer on the rear right-side of the fridge. I rotated it several times and found that the fridge was turning on and off. I rotated it until the fridge turned off. I waited 5 minutes then stuck my head into the freezer compartment and felt the rear wall at the bottom where he drain is; it felt warm so I guessed the defrost heater element was ok. I ordered a defrost timer and installed it. I haven't had a problem since.

FRIDGE NOT WORKING

Most side by side and other models of refrigerator freezer combinations are of one basic design. The freezer section does the cooling for both compartments. The refrigerator section gets it cold air from the freezer compartment. Therefore check for frost on the back wall of the freezer compartment. If frost is present there you have a defrost problem and it is cutting off the air that cools the refrigerator section.

I think this problem may already be resolved in some manor because of the date of post. Posts should expire after an unreasonable time period.

Refrigerator compartment not cooling

If you are sure the fan in the freezer is running and you don't feel any air flow out of the top middle vent inside the fridge section, then the damper motor must be bad. The damper motor is behind that vent cover inside the fridge section.
