Hello Ervin, thank you for your post!
From what you have described your Frigidaire washer is stopping 7 minutes before completing the drain cycle and not spinning. This could be a possible issue with your control panel, a wiring harness, or a miscommunication with the washer. I would suggest performing a reset and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue you may want to seek assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this is helpful information. -Matt

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.

SOURCE: AEG 74630 washing Machine stopped working, will

I have same problem right now. The machine works fine up to the stage where it needs to pump out. the pump was dead. Have replaced the pump, but still not working and it's probably the PCB that needs replacing - expensive but will buy reconditioned for about £50.

Pump available for the machine on Ebay and easy to replace. Take of machine back panel - make sure machine off and unplugged. Pump has 3 screws holding it in - then just replace. Easy. Good luck

Final spin cycle I get sud error code or f2, water mostly drained but no spin. When I restart the spin cycle just starts to spin then stops, sounds like it drains some more water then makes a small...

Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is

running. • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects • If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Maytag FAV6800, Stops at 34 minutes and will not stop, finish or unlock.

Hello AlpineCA,

I believe you are failing in spin cycle but that’s a wag without any error codes to go on.

With no error code it will require a bit more troubleshooting. If you start a Quick Wash cycle with minimal spin/soil settings I believe you will stop at the 21 min mark.

Not sure what wash cycle you are in and Spin/Soil settings for that cycle but I believe this is the spin cycle of that wash cycle (34 min).

I assume the washer did not pump out the water. The FAV6800A/FAV9800A is designed to start in the spin cycle with a fair amount of water in the wash tub so I assume you have water in the wash tub. You can enter Service Mode and turn on the drain pump to pump out the excess water. I’ll attach the process at the end of this post.

Before we do that let’s gather some info for troubleshooting. I want you to do a Spin Only cycle with that wet wash load. Let me know if the Cycle completes. The FAV6800A/FAV9800A machines suffer from chronic clutch malfunctions which will cause failing in Spin Cycle usually with dC/uC unbalance errors. Can you complete a Spin Only cycle?

My standard links for the DIY’er and can you let me know if you want to DIY the fix? Some folks can’t tolerate the down time and if you feel your aren’t qualified then I would recommend a qualified repair service. I’ll work with you until you decide to pull the plug on the DIY process.

FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference

Pump out the excess water in the tub when failing in Spin Cycle;

I would go to page 16 of the SM lower right hand part of page, Board Output Test and turn on the drain pump in service mode to pump out the tub.

Enter Service Mode by simultaneously pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”

Pressing the Delicates key will lock the lid. Now press the Presoak key the drain pump will turn on. Stop with off button or hit the Presoak key.

I’ll check back from time to time for your response. This board will not auto notify by e-mail of your response and most recently won’t let me post pics for troubleshooting support.

If you are going to DIY and we have no error code to the display the next step is to remove the front cover of the machine start up a Spin Only cycle and see if the motor will turn the clutch pulley CCW. Just be careful of the belt and follow safety warnings in the Service Manual…..Rich

Maytag neptune stops in mid cycle

It sounds like your drain pump is going. Neptunes are suppose to neqarly dry the clothes with how fast it spins. A poor drain pump/motor, could cause this to be less effective. There could also be something in the drain lines. I would check that before you pay money on a pump though.
