I have a equator ex 2512 combo washer dryer, it fills with water then agatates then does nothing and the dial spins, then agatates then dial spins drum fill with more water, drum never spins and it won't drain water. I have to turn it off and drain water from the coin trap. Any ideas on what I need to fix this problem. Unit is old but only used a couple of times on the boat. I assume it's circa 2005

The motor operates off the timer cams inside the timer. in the wash mode the agitator turns in one direction. when it calls for tub empty the motor reverses direction and actuates the pump. at this stage the tub should spin. sounds like the timer is bad for this one function. timers cost around $120. (mechanical timers)

The mechanical timer has a very small motor attached to it. In most cases it is this small motor which is 'shot'. It could save you a pile if you just check this out and replace it. Easily available at spares, thru the net.

Why did my washer quit spinning out in spin cycle

Quite often the problem with spin cycles is that the cycle cannot start until a sufficient amount of wash/rinse water has drained. So what will often happen is that the washer drains, the cycle starts, a lot of water comes out of the clothes, it stops, waits for the water to drain, then restarts. If the drain pump or drain lines are restricted or blocked or the pump is faulty, the unit may never achieve spin cycle.

Model #110.49962600 water fills agates will not spin

And the code is!? Gee I hate when that happens! OK look at these:
F1--Water supply/low water fill.
o 1. Check water supply to machine.
o 2. Replace water inlet valve.
• F2--Water level too high.
o 1. Plugged/Bad water pump.
o 2. Faulty water valve.
• F3--Pump problem.
o 1. Check pump trap and clean.
I go with the last one..Common, then the pump is bad then the valve. But You didn't tell Us!

Kenmore 80 series Model # 110.23832100\r\nthe washer fills up agitates, when finished washing it stops pauses a while then starts to spin, you can hear the water going out put it is like it can't pick up...

Hi

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump, drain filter or a kinked drain hose. Clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. Also check the connection to the drain pump and make sure wiring is fine. Check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The washer did not drain and won't forward to rinse. After removing all the wet clothes and scooping out the water I set it at rinse and it began to fill but I wasn't able to forward it to spin though it...

Check the lid switch first. It will not drain or spin if the switch is not closed. If the switch is ok check the pump for a foreign object or frozen bearing. If dropping the hose allows water to siphon out the blockage may be a small object.

Washer won't drain or spin

you need to check the water pump... it may be clogged with detergent or something to that effect.. or just replace the pump itself..

No spin

If anyhow the drain pump is blocked the spinning will be blocked. Check for a forrign object in the drain pump. If you can feel/hear it buzz (very quietly) while it should be pumping out it might be jammed up with something. That however is kind of rare with the angled tub the Neptune uses.
Are you sure the machine is actually not pumping out, or is it possible its just turning off in the rinses?
Reason I'm asking is the control will shut the machine down if its taking too long to fill up. Many times it will fill fine for the wash fill, but because the rinse takes twice the ammount of water it activates the system and shuts down while its half way filled. Look for a slow cold water fill for that problem.

Is the door locking in the spin? One very common problem on the older 3000 and 4000 series machines is the R11 resistor on the machine control board bruning out leaving the door lock inoperative. If the door won't lock, it won't spin. I do believe, however, the machine will still pump out. But many times what happens is the pump removes all the standing water, but without spinning everything in the tub stays soaked. The saturated clothing drains the water out and then leaves a few inches in the bottom of the tub.

If you have the newer style Neptune (with the control panel on the front of the machine) only the top paragraph applies.

Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

Maytag top loading washer won't agate. Instead it fills with water and spins, then drains, fills for the rinse and spins. Thanks Bill

Open your control panel.
Disconnect then reconnect your timer wiring harness.
If this does not correct the problem, replace the timer.

Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.
