I must tell you that there was a recall on this KitchenAid KFIS29PBMS model because of the coil behind the inside cover that leaks because of a coating not installed during manufacturing but they won't tell you this only a certified repairman can look this up if he knows he can the then and only then will you know of this problem.
Pretty slick because the repairman if not trustworthy could possibly not tell you of the recall and inturn request the new parts for free and charge you the cost which for parts is 750+ plus labor in my case I had it done for free out of warranty. So be careful!
The most common problem is the condensing coil is probably loaded with lint and debris. In behind most refrigerator is a fan and it blows on condensing coils. If the condenser is dirty and blocks air flow, the cooling system can not shed the heat. These coils should be checked at least every year, more often if you have pets that shed a lot.
