Proxy server not responding
Well, that's not the only reason why proxy is necessary, but I can tell you if you're willing to access the best darknet markets, it would be better for you to work with a proxy to stay anonymous and safe online. In general, people use proxy servers to get access to blocked sources, and it also prevents cyber attackers from entering a private network.
A proxy server is basically a gateway between you and the internet, and many people use it to go to dark web or something like that.

long ago, before the internet or ARP net, we had this FEATURE too.
we connected to one PC (server) with a dial up
then it connected to another , and on and on.
(with NO long distance charges, wink wink)
85cent a minute then,
one such place I used, back then was AMOCAT.
and others.(most i now forget from 30years ago)
fast forward and today we have the stinking
CIA run servers with THOR. (reads like nightmare! and CIA lame excuses...)
Thor is a DARK net server. (PROXY)

A Proxy server holds web pages that you use often. It sits between you and the Internet. For proxy server settings have a look at Internet Explorer options, under connections. If you have no proxy server, then you can switch it off by unticking the "use proxy server" from there.
SOURCE: My wireless is working perfectly. But when i click
to: Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings. Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for you LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections). !
