My new Zen V Plus right out of the box screen will not turn on?/???

Can it still play music if you press play after it lights up?
Can you still connect it to a computer?

This sounds like a dead screen, which means it is time for a new player.

I had a cracked screen with a Zen Vision M. Other than the screen, the player worked fine. My plans were to get the screen fixed as I thought that would be the best solution.

When I contacted Creative about a repair, they told me it was out of warranty. They wanted me to send it to them so they could assess the damages. I was told it would cost between $50-$100 depending on the problem, but would likely be the latter based on my description.

The choice is really up to you, but I bought a new mp3 player. A lot of new technology has came out since I bought this player 3 years ago, not to mention mp3 players are pretty affordable right now compared to when I last shopped.

Get a new zen... its obviously broken. Return it to somebody at the shop you bought it from, and you will get one just like it!

If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

my zen was dark and i cant see whats in it.. i can only hear songs but the screen was dark.. when i turn it on again same situation dark screen.. pls do help..thanks and more power..

Check this link out: http://us.creative.com/support/warranty/ This would be your best bet as they would most likely replace the LCD at no cost. Good luck.

try plugging it to your computer in recovery mode, this should allow you to reinstall firmware, even if the previous install failed.(Search google for zen nano plus recovery mode to find instructions.)
