SOURCE: Freezer model EV171NYMS04 we have ice build up on

There is a drain the back of the freezer that is frozen. Your trickle of water comes from the ice that melts off of the refrigeration coils during the defrost cycle. You need to turn off the freezer, then remove the rear cover from the back wall to expose the coils. With a hair dryer, melt all of the ice. You will find a drain under the coils. Melts all of the ice in this drain so water can get out of the freezer. When this drain is clear, you can put everything back together, and your freezer should work normally.

UPRIGHT FRIGIDAIRE (ELECTROLUX) FREEZER HAS STOPPED WORKING. LFFH21F7HWG

Hello Friend, I am happy to assist you!

I see that your Frigidaire freezer (LFFH21F7HWG) is not working. Often this is because it could have floating restriction in the line or something more complicated like an issue with the sealed system that only a professional can repair. This can include the compressor not working, the evaporator fan not turning, or even coolant in the lines at incorrect levels to properly cool. It is typically normal to hear the compressor running, humming, or even to be a little warm. However, if you do not hear the compressor at all, I suggest cleaning your refrigerator out including the coils you can reach (typically located in the bottom behind the toe grille) and make sure no food items are blocking any vents in your appliance. Also try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

Best regards! - Z

Model # FUF17DACWH Freezer is leaking water

After the defrost mode, the water from the melted frost or ice should go down the drain at the bottom back of the freezer compartment. That drain is probably plugged with some gooey gunk. If its an upright freezer, there will be a hose clamped to the back that comes out of a plastic fitting.. detach it there and 'fish' into the plastic fitting with a short piece of wire then blow into it to dislodge whatever may be there. Blow downward on the hose as it too could (probably not) be plugged between there and the drain pan under the bottom of the refrigerator.

Severe cases require that the freezer back be removed and the drain thoroughly cleaned. That gets real tricky, but its doable. Ice makers in the way complicate the process too.

Bottom basket

Flo,

The manual does not say specifically if the basket can be removed or not, but the basket is on rollers. If you can pull the drawer out and tilt upwards, the basket may release. Otherwise, the basket may not be designed to be removed.

Bottom basket in freezer

Flo Shirley,

I understand that you are having trouble removing the bottom basket in your Frigidaire freezer. To remove the basket, pull out, and lift up. This basket clips in to the actual glides that hold it at the bottom of the basket.

We just purchashed a Frgidaire Freezer model #LFFH21F7HWG. Does it have leveling legs on the back as well as the front? Are we missing 2 leveling legs?

usually the back wheels are rollers that allow you to pull the fridge straight out from the wall, so NO, not leveling in the back, but you don't need it anyway, just use the front adjustments
